What is so bad about Century C39s?

They are milled, don't have bayonet lugs, and probably no cleaning rod or cleaning kit.

But they are still a solid rifle, apparently.

Priviet, /k/omrades! I just found some super cheap 7.62x39mm AK food in Europe (pic related). The brand is Limex, which seems to be an Austrian company selling ammo they found god only knows where. The price is 30% cheaper than Barnaul. Has anyone ever heard of it, or better, shot it?

I've been thinking about picking up another AK in 7.62x39 but I don't really need another rifle when I already have the perfect example of a 7.62x39 AK.

The remedy to this solution is to get an SBR which I've been thinking about doing for a while now, but I'm lazy and don't want to jump through hoops. One of these days down the line though I really do want to get an SBR AK, especially one with a triangle folder or maybe an underfolder just to have something different then what I already have.

Winter is my favorite shooting season.
I love shooting into thick ice and all the fields are empty and open so I can put out my steel target range. I can also walk through all the wildlife areas like my own personal playground because the water is frozen, and nobody else is there except for me and the dog, and whoever is else might be with me shooting. It's always fun to test ice thickness by seeing how many shots of 54r it takes to get to the water.

Yeah, I bought my psl and vz58 there. They also installed my scope rail on the vz.
I heard the store practically doubled in size now, but I haven't been there for a long time since it's over an hour away.
I'll probably be heading there with one of my skeet shooting buddies one of these weekends though. I'm hoping that doubling in size doesn't just mean 2x the hunting rifles and shotguns. I'm more of a slav and military rifle collector like your ptr91 and they've been on the weak side the last couple times I've been there. That's part of the reason I haven't been too excited about going back when it's over an hour's drive.

Land of 5,000 fucking Fudds for sure.

I know this is fucking MN, but 99% of the store was boring fudd shit. One corner had a smattering of AR's, WASR-2's, two SKS rifles and two Mosins, all overpriced.

Fuck Ahlman's. Atleast Cabela's and Fleet Farm maintain a nice inventory of scary black guns and milsurp beauties.

most of the midwest is like that. unless it can be used for hunting or is a handgun, don't expect to find shit. Hell, even in some of the cities you don't find anything more than a few ARs.

>OPAP vs WASR

My friend and I both have similar old-school WASR 10/63's, while a mutual friend has an OPAP. I've seen the Yugo in action at the range and it works just as fine as our WASRs do, although it seems a bit fussy about ammo.

Basically what it's going to come down to is what you want out of it. Yugo rifles enjoy some new tacticool shit, but there is a wider variety of hardware available for AKM-type rifles like the WASR.

Depends on museum quality friend. EG with full kit will bring $180 easy, $150 and they will dry up faster than a junkies spoon. $200-$220 if you get a slavboo thirsty enough

5.45 bakes on the whole are $45+ for museum quality, $30 for beat to shit and $40 for slightly used. It all just depends on if someone recently bought a 74 and needs some bake
>>

You drunk? EG are the most common and cheapest bake, russians are rare'ish and command the high $.

But it's all up to importers, it seems they get varieties in waves. last year or two izzy plums were common and cheap now tula plums are common till those dry up. after that we'll probably see surplus bulgy mags again and some more polish

>>

M70 furniture and M76 furniture.

Standard AK furniture doesn't fit Yugos and vice versa.

Handguards are longer, stocks use a through-bolt rather than a tang.

>>
>>27846114

>>

iirc Tapco makes handguards, dunno about stocks. But they're Tapco, so there's that. Also apparently they don't have any kind of heat shielding. I've heard mixed reports about whether or not that's an issue.

At this point there are probably other companies doing polymer handguards too but I dunno.

For stocks, your options are pretty much get surplus M70 or M76 stocks, get Ironwood repros, or put a mounting block on it and do a Stormwerks or ACE stock.

Unless you get an underfolder. Yugo underfolders are way more tolerable than standard AKs though. Straighter angle, tighter lockup.

AK's aren't just potmetal you can casually slap on with ease for $200, there's import fees, converting them and a whole other shit that goes to making one.

Also take into consideration that almost all ar15's are made in the us so they will be cheaper in terms of the lack of import fees and everyone and their grandmother makes ar15's here. The market for ar's is extremely saturated.

That being said, it is baffling how an entry level ak nowadays costs more than a decent quality ar15 and what pisses me off about aks is how attatching things onto it is more complicated and expensive compared to an ar
>>
>>27856115

Partly because there's a lot less standardization when it comes to AKs, due to the nature of stamped receivers and license building and every country wanting their own AK variant if they could build one. Compare metric and inch FALs - not everything on one works on the other.
