Satori is widely hated by just about everyone in canon. As is Seija. Seija's left without a single friend after ISC, even Shinmyoumaru had to give up on her. With Seija that's what makes her happy though, so whatever. Satori is also acting according to her nature but her nature is to be an asshole who won't let you speak and reads your thoughts back to you. Satori is so widely hated, Koishi feared being that so much that she fucked her own shit up forever. That's pretty huge.
Fans don't like the moonbitches. I liked them in Inaba of the Moon/Earth but they're kind of annoying in the other works they've appeared in. I think they're the only people that some fans actively don't like; characters like not-Benben people just don't remember, but I don't think anyone hates them.

Nothing major, but seeing things from their point of view and getting a glimpse of their private conversations helps to humanize them. If you actually understand who they are and why they acted as they did, it seems to me that there's very little reason to hate them. In general, I assume anyone who really dislikes them is just a butthurt powerlevelfag who's mad that they 'beat' Yukari (even though that entirely misses the point), or a casuals who doesn't understand the relationship between the Earth and the Lunar Capital.

Basically. CiLR fills in a lot of the gaps, giving reason for why the Watatsukis and Lunarian society are the way they are, making them more sympathic and personable rather than "impurity this, impurity that" like the manga tends to do.
One of the big problems with the manga was how misunderstood and harped on the purity/impurity thing is, which CiLR goes to lengths to explain and clear up.
That said, it used to be way more of a problem in the western fandom due to the translation choice making them sound like Hitler, although the Japanese still dislike them.
Also, yeah, powerlevel fags mad Yorihime stomped their waifus.

PMiSS made it sound as if it was possible to talk your way out of a confrontation with her, and one of the eyewitness accounts of her was from someone who actually touched her, neither of which would be possible if she was as murderous as you suppose.
Besides, with all the time that's passed since her debut, the fact that nothing else notable has happened with her could mean she's mellowed out a little bit since then. That, or she "disappeared", either by Reimu's hand or by some youkai who didn't care for threat she posed to the village.
