News:
-Spring 2016 Event has started and will end on May 31. It is a 7 map event split into 3 parts: Initial, Expansion and Final Operations.
-Debuff nodes for E-6 confirmed to be L/A/G and node I on E-5.
-Unintended stats gains on new ships and Pola not being able to equip seaplane fighters have been fixed. Oyashio also has an increased drop rate.
-Land based planes not doing their correct damage and enemy raids not happening have been fixed.
-Players who reached E-6 before the emergency patch will get an exclusive apology furniture and an early Summer event equipment reward for their troubles after the event.
-Kamikaze class DDs Kamikaze and Harukaze, Oyashio, Pola and Iowa are available in this event.
-New equipment such as the Catalina, interceptor fighters and Iowa's OS2U stock equipment can be earned this event.
-Land-based aircraft and their famed pilots have been added. They can be used with the new land-based aerial support mechanic which can also accommodate naval aircraft. Land-based air squadrons will be able to aid your fleet at up to 2 specific nodes.
-The first part consists of 4 maps. E3 rewards Kamikaze along with the ability to use the new aerial support mechanic.
-The second part consists of 1 map, which rewards Pola and is optional.
-The third part consists of 2 maps, which rewards Iowa for the final map.
-The max slot counts have been increased to 290/1260 for ships/equipment respectively.
-An Asashio class DD will get her Kai 2 this spring.
-Android lottery results are out, the 250k winners must wait until the end of the event to gain access.

Well you have resources to do full kuso, E1 and E4 hard are also an option if your ships/equips are up to the old meta, and E2 hard is an option if you have enough WG and tanks. E3 is piss easy and is only limited by E2 difficulty.

it can happen either time, but boss support has higher chances because all of the enemy anti-air is from bombers, so your main fleet should shoot most of it down before your support comes.

Most people put the 244 in the first wave, usually with a skilled 21 or 52. I personally put the regular Hien in the third wave with the bombers.
By the time your combined fleet engages in opening air, there's usually only 0-12 abyss bombers remaining which AACI wipes out. There are still enough intact fighters that your boss aerial support will need a token fighter squadron to avoid losses to bombers.
Personally, I found TB's better than dive bombers on aerial support.

My main fleet was Kamo/Akitsumaru/Fusous/Cranes for kidou middle routing with AS+. AACI was handled by Teru in escort fleet.
On hindsight, I was very lucky to clear it in 4 runs with kidou middle, as a lot of things could've gone wrong in that final run. I even forgot to put the night scout plane on someone!

Pretty funny, I ran that comp for chipping and actually S ranked twice, so I thought to give it a shot for last dance. Hit the boss node twice all night and the first time I finished with the boss around 200 hp, and the second time got absolutely destroyed, so I just switched out for 4CV + Maya + Kamo. You only meet Wo kai once on the first node with all your fuel intact. Sparkling and no BB makes it a breeze. It's the same with CV Hime, she usually only manages to land hits on carriers for some reason and Maya can very rarely disable 1 of them. I can share the loadout, what matters is the main fleet. Have 2 CV with only torpedo bombers and the other 2 with either a mix of dive bomb and torpedo or all T62 fighter bomber for more air power. The reason for that is to have 2 CVs guarantee hitting anything but the boss, which is important for yasen because you don't want anyone to hit the escorts. Just change the escort fleet to your best anti installation ships, which is Tone class and Ooyodo.

Anyway post the fleet you used when doing 4 DD 2 CAV. Aerial support works better with that fleet because it avoids the Ru node, and the Rus are too tanky for aerial support to be effective there. Plus planes shot down there means a less effective aerial support at the preboss.

I went with zuiun + sanshiki on each CAV to have an easier time on the way. Maybe you can have just one CAV hold that setup and the other hold WG42 + sanshiki instead. I don't really find that seaplane fighter useful here.

I can run canthis at a small corner/minimized during work. I basically do all my EO(except 5-5) and monthlies at the start of the month and then only check my points difference during the last week to check how many 5-4 I need to run during the weekend.

Then you need to do it around 460-610 times of 5-4.
Resources required for 5-4 with 3 Unryuus+BB+CAV+wildcard are around 90 fuel 250 ammo and 100 bauxite, in total around 40k-54k fuel, 115k-150k ammo and 46k-61k bauxite.

I am not sure how much is the cutoff but I estimate it to be about 1650-1700. I got about 17xx before the last reset. How to get positive net gain? Use subs and I only have 2docks.
