Right, so this is the method to Nutaku's madness. Some observations:

1. They are not limited by their payment processors or legal issues, per se. They censor things because they cannot get visitors through their networking agreements otherwise.
2. It follows that they are indeed censoring things purely for profit, which is both understandable and prone to change. You just need to convince them that they will profit more without the censors.
3. They are in fact aware that censorship cuts into their revenue and want to eliminate it. The rules of their network are as loose as they are retarded, allowing them to change things back once their games are no longer new and subject to close scrutiny.

This is good to hear. I do not hold with censorship of any kind, and people should definitely play on DMM until Nutaku fixes its issues, but it's good to know that Nutaku is aware that there are issues and willing to work about them.

Most of these games are basically the same with only minor details. There's are exceptions like Aigis (tower defense), but usually the "gameplay" is nothing but watching more (pre-determined, you can't do anything) or less (you can actually do something like selecting your targets, activating skills, etc.) RNG-dependent battles. Make sure to add not cute girls (common), cute girls (rare), very cute girls (very rare, usually behind the paywall) and top qts (far behind the paywall). Make sure the player can taste paid character lotteries (give him some premium gacha tickets or some currency otherwise available only for real money) so he can get addicted and spend more.

Higher mechanism, at least in the worst case of mobile gaming, has few steps:
1. Make a game with cute girls and paid lotteries
2. Add minimal amount of new content ('events') bi-weekly. Focus on new cute girls in paid lotteries, but give 1-2 cute girls to everyone who completed the 'event' (don't make them too strong, though).
3. Get money
4. Try to attract more players in the meantime
5. Kill your game and make a new one with almost the same mechanics and "2" in title
6. Repeat.

No such girls have been released yet. Also, there is no FKG manga, though there is an official comic anthology.

Two girls (Agave and Wolfsbane) come from the LNs, two others (Wintersweet and Cuphea) come from watching FKG broadcasts as a premium Niconico member, and a fifth, Sinclairiana, is obtained by purchasing the character guide. A sixth girl, Devil's Claw, will be released with the third LN at the end of next month, and should have an interesting design since the Japanese name for that plant is "lion slayer".

All promotional golds have weaker statlines and skills compared to both event and gacha golds, but they're still very cute.

Aigis follows a generic fantasy plot where the last surviving prince of a ruined kingdom must battle against a massive monster incursion, so it has plenty of lady knights, princesses, wizards, barbarians and other high fantasy staples. Flower Knight Girl has a similar plot in that you're fighting against a large enemy force, but instead of orcs or demons, it's a swarm of previously benign insects that went berserk after a force of evil made its way into your once-pristine world. All of its characters are based on flowers and their meanings, with plenty of neat little references to these in their designs (the back of Oncidium's dress and skirt is shaped like her flower, for example, while Lavender is a yandere because her flower meaning is "distrust"). It adds 4-5 girls every two weeks and has 0.5% and 6% chances for its highest and second-highest rarity girls, but gives far more free ingame currency compared to Aigis, and allows paying players to outright buy the girl they want in certain campaigns.

FKG also has the hands-down best team on DMM, these guys did massive overhauls of every system in their game based on user feedback and regularly improve existing girls with updated art, sprites and voice lines.

What exactly is "less censored" in Aigis? Event units and silvers are still skipped and they aren't going to put them back. Aisha happened only because she's very popular gacha black, profit for them is more important than censorship.
As for other games, when Osawari got censored, PeroPero already had loli characters uncensored and Aigis had Shiho. There's not so much change as just plain inconsistency, with every separate nutaku game going in wildly different ways and having different content policies.

Aigis is a unique case because Nutaku demands some of the characters to be censored, and the general Dev Tea response to these demands is probably along the lines of "eat shit and die" (which is, by the way, the ideal response to censorship). So Nutaku can't censor anything because Dev Tea won't let them, and Dev Tea can't add their girls to the game as is because Nutaku won't let them. They're at an impasse, and the game suffers because of this.

Other games let Nutaku censor their girls however they wish, so they get updated regularly. But this is what led to the Osawari scenario, so I'm firmly on the side of Dev Tea here.

Some of you guys might not remember, but I met Nutaku's business development lead a while ago at an event.

Now that their downloadable section of the site has gone live, I can finally come in and talk about some stuff.

1. I was responsible for bringing over Raining Blobs. Check it out. It's non-adult, but it's a great puzzle game. Also, call me a shill but I'm biased.

2. I left the company I was working with when I hashed out the deal for Raining Blobs. I started my own videogame publishing clients and already have a couple of clients.

3. I'm contracting out a development team to work on a couple of projects. One is an all ages browser game, one is an H-browser game. I want feedback and suggestions from you guys.


I don't want to talk too much about my stance with Nutaku right now, mostly because I want to have something to show for my games before I start speaking to them again. Once I do start speaking to them, I'll have to stop posting about the project here as well.
I also can't speak too much as to my experience with working behind the scenes on Raining Blobs.

All I can say is I love working with the guys there, they're awesome, and that the downloadable section is live.
I wanted to check in and see if you guys had any first impressions of the downloadable section and Raining Blobs, I'm dying to hear the feedback.

I'm not sure I have enough to talk about my other projects yet, but I will be trying to show up more frequently to bring you guys concept art and take suggestions. If I am legally allowed to take in feedback. I'll have to double check.

Also, Lord of Valkyrie is dead on Nutaku as of April 28th. You can replace it with Quiz of Valkyrie, which I believe suffers the same level of censoring. Official launch was March 22nd.

There's not really much to add. The most blatant censorship edits tend to be from the first month.

Aigis is a unique case. The most glaring omissions are Mischa and Nenya, with the former being a substantial loss since she is a free unit that uniquely boasts high attack and has no free substitute. Kagerou is another omission that continues to keep getting removed, even though she isn't remotely loli-looking. The other units are events, and the event schedule is a whole separate issue altogether, but adding those back in probably wouldn't be difficult. On the other hand, some petite girls did make it through, like Shiho, Rika, and Assal. There's also the shota-looking hermaphrodite, Niel. And the most blatant loli, Aisha, was considered a miracle to get in.

I haven't played Osawari in a while, but I don't think they have issues with adding loli units these days. Not all of the units have been reverted however, including popular seal loli Goma.

Angelic Saga hasn't needed to censor anything in ages either.

As stated, the full extent of FKG's censorship is just Lavender's removed virgin blood and changing Oncidium's skill name from Bloody Masquerade to Death Waltz. There's a few other inconsequential things, like not translating loli in dialogue ("loli pussy" just gets translated to "little pussy" instead), but it's easily the least censored of Nutaku's games so far.
