I think I would just drop dead if I lost my touhou folder.
If it makes you feel any better, I once had 24,000 pics fav'd on Danbooru, built-up since 2007. Sometimes I would favorite maybe a few pics a day, so I wasn't adding trash left-and-right (although when I first discovered the site, my tastes were less leniant and I was very fav-happy).
I lost all of it when I nuked my account and forgot to backup a file containing the timestamps of when I favorite'd all those pics. All gone. Years' worth of curation.
Since then, I rebuilt up to about 6000 pics, but I don't have the time or will to do the deep-dives for content I used to do.
I feel your pain of losing all your stuff, OP. Although I can't say I'm too troubled by it now, since I don't really browse for animu pics or stuff anymore, and my addiction to Touhou and whatnot was just an attempt to fill a void the void in my heart. And I realized no amount of Touhou goodness or any of the other addictions I have will ever fill that void.

If you really loved your 2hus, you would be in a search right now. searching for all the cutest and memorable images that you have saw in your lifetime.
You must go, and find them all. Some will be missing, but it doesn't matter if can't even remenber the artist name.

I've never really understood reaction images. They've always seemed inane to me, and makes me think the person using the image has no real personality, or any ability to compose their thoughts.
I'm all for having "fun" on boards or forums, but blegh. I find them annoying.
I feel like I've stepped into a parallel universe or a time machine.

Well ultimately these are imageboards and images can convey a lot more in a much simpler way than words. Its one quirk and imo advantage boards like 4chan have over typical forums.
I like touhou images typically if they're clever in some way.
