Today I had a dream with Bern and Lambda.
I have no idea the context but I knew I was in some kind of game, where some people including myself where trying to win it by overcoming obstacles and enemies.
It was Lambdas game and she was always around us and talking to us. Nothing was automated, Lambda was always checking on us and we had to show her hardwork and perseverance in our decisions, everything was real and we would have pain or die in that game. Lambda would reward us with progression of the game if we would show her the kinds of decisions she preferred. Sometimes it would be very difficult to solve a problem or defeat an enemy head on, so Bern would show up waiting for us to find a solution that would be smart, cunning or just well done strategy. If she was pleased she would reward us with progression by hacking Lambda game, Lambda would be annoyed (in her own tsundere way towards Bern) and would lock away Bern from that game and us, so we wouldn't "cheat" in her own game. Bern would eventually free herself and we could use her help again.
It was a nice idea because it was just like Lambda was a real life tabletop RPG GM where things would happen depending on her mood and amusement with the players, if we were lazy and cheap, she would make the game more difficult and more dangerous.

Maria's truth was proven to be flawed and delusional. Her mom was out getting the D. And also at times really did hate her ass.
But Ange/Bern's truth isn't the whole truth either. Rosa did love Maria and did try to support her as a mother. However she was probably a weak woman who wasn't able to be a single mom, managing a love life, and running a failing business to provide for Maria. This lead to Rosa's tempers and insane outbursts.
I think what R07 tried to get through was that Rosa was at times a bad mom and at times a good mom, but Maria loved her regardless. Also her faults are mainly in her poor family planning decisions, being weakness in resisting her emotions and needs, as well as her incompetence in running her company.

Battler just felt like a letdown throughout Chiru, and Ange's journey seemed more interesting. We probably could've gotten the same cast and figured out everything we were given if we just followed Ange as well, especially with the SSVD introductions.
It could've given us more opportunities for world building.

If it helps with the murder mystery thing who the culprits actually are don't really matter, and there are some episodes with different culprits.
Other than that though the actual murder mystery portions aren't really that big of a deal. Even if you know who the killer is there are still other bigger parts of the story that you likely haven't been spoiled for. Just read it for the journey, it's more important than the answer.
