Get used to her speed.
Marisa's faster and usually stronger. Once you can control her speed you've got more dodging options than Reimu, and more attack power means you have to dodge less. Anyone can play Reimu, but once you learn whatever game it is, Marisa's usually just plain better. Even if she is a thieving witch.

I prefer Marisa in every game except PCB. Her speed is really nice but considering that Reimu B does comparable damage when focusing and has superior range when not focusing, plus Marisa gets less bombs(even if they are really powerful), there's just too many drawbacks for it to be worth it when you could just play Reimu B.

PCB Marisa B is actually my favorite Marisa shot type in the entire series. It has a really nice mix of spread and power, and the focused laser is probably the nicest looking laser in the series. And while she does only has two bombs, that's only because Non-Directional Laser is one of the most devastating bombs in the series, and can wipe out most patterns that don't belong to Yuyuko or an Extra boss in one go.

However, within material ZUN keeps a closer eye on (aka the games), Marisa never has blue eyes. The only time she has ever not had yellow eyes in any official game is during SoEW, where ZUN drew her with red eyes and red hair.

Yeah, I know, her braid should be on the left side. It's even a plot point in the manga. That said, Marisa's hair style changes from time to time, much like her clothing, so it's hard to get too upset over somebody getting it wrong.
I was also going to bring up what >>14826056 said, but I thought about it for a bit this morning and it occurred to me that the only two games that have Marisa's braid on her right side (IN and the first three fighting games) had the excuse of utilizing sprite flipping. ZUN probably designed, or in the case of the fighting games, had someone else design, her has an enemy sprite rather than a player sprite, and simply flipped her enemy sprite for her character portrait.
And that got me thinking, it would actually be really easy to fix the braids positioning in most cases, so I suppose that I should start doing that.
