OP could use some cleaning up if you need space, isn't necessary to have all those Eng wiki links that are from the same site. Just put the main wiki link and remove them. Reason why DMM thread won't survive is because Nutaku shares games with DMM, and takes discussions out of the DMM thread. The only game that got discussed before DMM thread died was FKG and whatever FOTM was at the time.

My mistake while learning japanese on my own is that I didn't follow the normal route, which is probably either jouyou kanji or jlpt kanji. Instead, I went with http://www.kanjidamage.com/
Managed to get up to around 1k kanjis though.

But the bigger problem is that I have really basic knowledge of the grammar and non-kanji words. stuff like yori, dake, kereba and so on and so forth.

It plays out a bit more like a single player RTS. Kinda like Aegis if you could move around units. You send out units around to conquer villages/towers and the objective is to conquer the enemy castle. Similarly if your castle gets destroyed you lose. Various different unit types and skills exist.

There's not much content out yet being very new but as soon as you hit world 2 you can see that the game gets pretty damn tricky if you want to 3 star.

Now i'm curious, does people really think that Awakening is something that good that can change the game completely making everything better?
Awakening is something used to make maps easier, is good to have sure, but not neccessary.
We are rolling post-awakening-patched events on Nutaku just fine for example and even on DMM many players awakened their units after a lot of time just because.
At least this is my opinion, maybe i'm just that guy willing to have revive/story maps instead of awakening, you can just ignore me.

Awakening changes things significantly, it is WAY harder to beat a dracolich without an awoken healer, for example, and nobody is going to do the magic city story maps without the high hp of awoken units.

Awakening gives you some longer-term goal, thats the best thing about it. As of now, I have all units I care at max level, and therefore not much to do. AW+non-stop events would keep me busy for quite a while.

A little bit of both. As I understand it, it's only available to Gold+ units that are max level and max affection; it ups their level cap to 99, gives them a unique passive ability on top of their old ability, and changes their artwork (generally for the sexier, for female units)

In my opinion fire is right behind dark if not at the same rank, the only problem with fire is against water enemies at side for that they don't have any problems, at side for their low mana pool, maybe, but that's depend on the character for example Emma got way more mana pool than Emilia because lancers one of the best and most balanced classes in the game and because Emma is top tier waifu

I do know enough Japanese to play the game on DMM, yet I will always prefer playing it on my language if possible. When it's pretty clear that much fault lies in the developers themselves I am not going to swallow my pride and support them. I do like Aigis and I would like to see the EN version thrive and not have a few whales jump ship and die.

The worst part is I've worked alongside Jap>Eng/Es translators and seen the kind of shit that they have to go through. I still think Nutaku should be doing more but who knows what kind of contract they signed.

It's only all those sad comments that you can find not only here but on the wiki or forums from people that laugh at you for playing it on Nutaku.
