What would the world be like today if WWII never happened?
there's no way to know that.

/int/ would be more tolerable, eastern Europeans that were not a part of the communist bloc or a Soviet Republics before 1945 would be a million times less butthurt. The Soviet Union itself probably would have been less relevant as well, which would be a good thing obviously.
But the fate of Europe depends on what the Nazis did without a war. If they didn't invade any other countries, who knows what would have happened. Would it have been a "normal" military dictatorship that was overthrown after a few decades of isolation? Would they have just started a smaller war later on?

A more pointed question would be if the Nazis really pushed the policy of Lebensraum or decided to keep to realize their vision within already established borders. I don't see Lebensraum happening without war tb h
I say BANZAI everyday… shit life as real hell.

Do you think the Nazis would have gone for slower economic development/industrialization in order to preserve their culture? Like wasn't their ideal version of society largely based on rural farmers?
>>59027672
that's not /his/ keep your theoretical faggotry in your containment board
we would have never became the world power and i believe that would have allowed us to remain the best country on earth to live in

Germany was already en par with the Rest of the world regarding Industrialization, so that's a development that the Nazis couldn't reverse.
Also, preserving Culture was no problem for them. They had infiltrated every aspect of daily life and had free control. Ideal society was balanced between modern and older influences, so nothing unusual for Yurop during that time period.
usa would not be strong, so it would be a very bad and sad world

sort of this, if ww2 never happened as it did another major crisis would have happened in europe that woulda lead to another great war. essentially until we cucked europe there was always going to be major conflicts.
>>59028021
Well yeah, but there was still a lot of industrialization to happen around the 1930s. I think if there wasn't a war build up, they probably would have fallen behind the rest of the world in a few decades time.

But communism also wouldn't have been as strong. Maybe we could have even stopped China from going gommie by supporting the nationalists during China's civil war.

>anime is never popularized without the push of government-mandated wartime propaganda in the form of animated films during WW2
>China would grind Japan down, stalemate albeit with japanese navy still strong
>China would go either way with a nationalist or communist takeover
>The US more isolationist but competing with japan for influence in asia, probably might focus on building a hemispheric bloc
>basically a US-China-Japan competition, with either the US withdrawing or allying with one against the other
>Cold war with the UK over influence in the middle-east, saudi-US vs. UK-Jordanian/Iraqi bloc
>Germany might strengthen its regional influence, since it has no colonies there might be power bloc in central europe
>USSR focuses on revolution at home and continues to industrialize, won't be able to project power outwards
>Decolonization still happens, weaker countries like Netherlands, Portugal and France might get btfo with foreign support
>Probably a few more bloodier colonial wars, Italy will probably have its own Algeria Wars
>Globalization does not happen, instead countries are still divided into its different polar regions
>Nuclear weapons developed, every powerful country will have them and it will be fucked, more fucked than cold war because literally every country will have the mindset that led to world war one still there

Either way expect something like:
Top tier powers:
USSR + USA + Central Europe bloc
Second Tier:
Japan + UK + Maybe China
Capable Tier/Still Nuclear Tier:
Italy, India, France
Stalin essentially wanted socialism contained to the USSR, so there was probably no reason for a Japan-Germany alliance. Japan would probably try to undermine colonial powers in asia and take over, Italy + Germany would probably support decolonization if they gained influence and the US might remain isolationist albeit with attempts to control the mid-east since they largely saw control of oil as providing control over Europe.

Germany would be Poland and Poland would be Germany, except with a strong Catholic backing and instead of jews they hate Muslims
