>>
>>58874943
Nothing specific, in Europe I colored each area culturally and racially. I left Russia out of the eastern Slavic group to make the map look more appealing. In the middle east I colored the Arab, Berber and Persian nations differently. I grouped all pooinloos and Chinese Communist Indochina puppets together. British colonies are blue, East Asian island nations are purple, Indonesian Muslim nations are grouped together and Middle Asian mongols are deep red. I couldn't bother to learn about the pacific and indian ocean or the various Carribean nations so I colored them randomly. In Africa ex Berber colonies are deep red and ex Portuguese colonies +2 random nations are light green. Nubians and Ethiopians are light blue... The rest I have no idea about so I colored them randomly. In South America the white southern part is grouped together, the rest are green. Brazil is by itself because they are the only Portuguese speaking nation. Guyana, Suriname and the other one were western European colonies. Central American countries used to be a single republic for a short period of time.

The black flag in Russia is the space flag. I didn't know where to put the Uknown flag but I thought it fits with North Korea being secretive and all.

Islam is the fourth largest religious afflilation or lack of here, with Christianity, Buddhism and atheism being adhered to by higher percentages of the population. Only 14% of the population is Muslim.

We're not even racially similar to Indonesia, Malaysia or Brunei; 75% of the population is Chinese diaspora.

I don't get the flag. Literally every single nation with the crescent in the flag has been at least culturally Muslim. You are correct but are you sure that Chinese diaspora did not arrive much later because of the city's importance?
>>
>>58879896
>>58879956
It was just PK you newfag.
>>
>>58879985
The Chinese diaspora did arrive during colonial rule, but to call us Muslim and culturally Malay instead of Chinese in the modern day would be like calling New Zealand a Polynesian nation. Sure, some of them are still here, but whatever culture there was has largely been displaced by demographic shifts.

The moon is meant to represent a rising crescent moon, symbolising the youthfulnessnof the country. I think it's fucking stupid but that's how it is
>>
>>58879929
Israel has changed hands between all Abrahamic faiths. It was originally Jewish, then Christian, then Muslim, then Christian again, then Muslim again. It was later conquered and given to the Kikes after WW2. The population of the area has always been divided between those 3 faiths and majority faith constantly shifted. The culture of each religious group varies wildly as well. I do not recall Singapore being this divided.
>>
>>58880116
That's interesting but yes, having a crescent when you are surrounded by mudshits is indeed retarded. I was absolutely certain that you were Muslim.

>>
>>58880116
I'd reiterate we're 85% non-native so the cultural shift isn't too hard to believe. The diaspora aren't insignificant minorities, they're the vast majority of the population.

>>58880142
The majority faith has had a shift from Islam (native fishermen before colonial rule) to a mix of religions that still persists today. A majority faith doesn't exist, though Christianity is the plurality.
We're more religiously divides than Israel I'd say.

It's still PK, so no true flag collector should save it. Last time a non-PK Saint Helena posted on /pol/ was on December 15th of last year (don't know about /int/ though), and still reeked of proxy.
>>
>>58880737
It's most likely a proxy. I'm saving it but I know it's a proxy and archived.

I'm planning to start several new maps alongside my main one. One for only 100% confirmed real posters and no proxies, then ones for just the specific boards.

Saint Helena will most likely always be a proxy.

>>
>>58880898
If you're talking about >>58880621 then it's 100% confirmed proxy because it was PK. I save flags that I suspect are proxies, but never if they're PK or flat out said they're proxies. This is why I don't rate other peoples maps or compare them to mine, you never know how other people choose to collect their flags.
This is additionally why you should always screencap your rares.

I was reading about Tristan Da Cunha earlier. Takes a week on a boat from Cape Town to even get there and you have to wait three weeks for the return trip. There are just nine families on the island too lel

Doubt we'll ever see a post from there

we are close to forming a true nationwide recognized parliament that is campaigning for approval from both sides of Libya right now.

ISIS are getting their asses kicked due to no local support from Libyans.

ISIS has gone on the Defensive since every attack recently has ended in a negative K/D ratio for them, with them killing 7 in the last attack on Sabratah and losing 40. also it was local forces who did this not even the army.

IF other governments would recognize the Al Sarraj as the president and noone else as well as supplying us with Humanitarian aid instead of military we will end ISIS in sirt and end the Human smuggling. especially since the gulf of sirt would be used to trade oil.

Oil is being pumped very quickly and is all being put in reserves due to sanctions preventing us from selling it, price of gas in Libya is 0.15 Dinar a gallon, thats cheaper than Saudi arabia. the banks are starting to open, the new currency has finished being printed, the Currency VALUE has gone up and now equals 0.73 dollars more than Tunis Egypt Yemen Syrian and Saudi Arabians currency.

School is open, Airports are open, everything is going much better, you dont hear about it on the news cus it doesn't sell well

what would be a better a story?
Aleppo gets bombed 20,000 killed!!
OR
Libyan Dinar goes up Economy on the rise

>>
>>58883320
Sounds like things are going well, yeah the media likes to give people the stories they want to hear, not the truth.
I've always believed humanitarian aid is far more useful than carpet bombing your cities. If you can start selling your oil your economy will skyrocket.

Also as >>58883389 asked, do you think things under Qaddafi were better or worse than they are now?
>>
>>58882794

IS has been stepping up their usage of SVBIED's for months, I'm guessing this is the case in Libya too.

They are losing Anbar fast and the SAA is pushing towards Deir-ez-Zor due to the Palmyra offensive. So IS will probably resort to using more guerrilla tactics in the future if they want to retain any ground.

But they have made some gains in the north near the Turkish border recently so it's not all going backwards for them.

Still, if everything goes well I predict that ar-Raqqa will fall this year. The Kurds are getting pretty close to it. The same thing goes for Mosul over in Iraq.

Good luck with expelling IS from Libya.

>>58883415
I hate that stupid fucking video.

It's literally just western propaganda, no different from Islamic State propaganda.

This is one instance of IS fighters being completely incompetent, and it's being paraded around as if this is all that IS is.

In reality, there are lots of sides to it. There are many IS fighters that are incompetent like the ones in the video, but there are also many with clear combat training and experience. Most of them aren't trained but also aren't as bad as in that video.

You have to remember that they took over huge swathes of Iraq and Syria - at their peak, they controlled territory the size of Britain.

What annoys me about this video is that it makes it seem like they're just incompetent clowns and makes people think they're not as much of a threat as they are. Due to this video, the Iraqi Army will once again become the laughing stock of the world (they're pretty bad) and the enemy won't be taken seriously.

It's better to look at facts and reliable sources rather than eating up propaganda from the two sides.

No

at first he helped the country by Housing Projects and Infrastructre building

but when oil industry became big and country had fucktons of money pouring in he didnt know what to do it all, he continued his projects and built others but he was mostly consumed later in life by his Ego.

he had all this money, now he wanted Power, he wanted the nation to function soley by him and if he is removed the nation dismantles.

he Erected Statues of himslef everywhere, he bought his sons and family fancy cars and houses overseas and in Libya.

he pouered millions into offshore accounts from our own oil money. he killed off protesteres, he killed anyone who opposed him, he tried to instae Communism and DID for a couple of months in the 80's.

my father had to wait in line to get state provided food, and then take it home. he tried a ton of government forms, none of the one he wanted worked.

hee tried to instill himself as King of Africa too, by getting 200 traditional monarchs in africa to crown him King of Kings of Africa, he wanted to instill the Gold Dinar which everyone here loves but they dont understand that it would have fucked us all.

he wanted to antagonize the west. he tought he could take on Europe and the US alone. we would have payed for it, and when the US had enough of him and started arming rebels it didnt take long for him to fall

they are cowards, they only look terrifying on camera and when in groups but once separated or captured they spill the beans on their friends on the spot. ive actually witnessed, they dont even have to be tortured since the fear of torture alone is enough for them.

Dont dear them, by fearing them you are making them stronger, when you dont show them fear THEY start to become afraid, all those cucks who say we need peace and humanity to destroy evil in this world are WRONG.

you wanna beat Terror, you fight it with Terror, this is the most effective technique i witnessed.
>>
>>58883615
Thanks for the insight. I always thought he was despotic, but if he could keep the country stable, it would pay off.
I was under the impression things were more chaotic than you say they actually are, so it was perhaps the best move to remove him.
I'm generally against U.S. military intervention, were you glad when we got involved?
>>
>>58883760
I didn't say we should fear them, I said we should take them seriously. And by that I mean spend money to bomb the shit out of them and support the SAA (and the Kurds).

Also what is your opinion on the Kurds in Iraq and Syria? What about the rebel groups or the government?
>>
>>58883456
hopefully soon, but i doubt the Saudis are gonna like that, then again our relations with the arabs has never been good ^^

also lord fuckwad Cameron said that he will provide significant support for the Libyan people to help them rebuild the nation.

you know how much he sent??
50k pounds
you know how much he spent on bombing Tripoli?
320M Pounds !!!!

they didnt care about libya, they just wanted Gaddafi out
>>
>>58883770
France and England were already helping a ton and i doubt we would have won without thier help and yours later when you got involved.

what we were pissed about is that all three of these countries said they wanted a better Libya and they would pay for damages and help rebuild the economy.

they spent jackshit on this, they also didnt help defend Libya when Militas were everywhere and ISIS and Al Qaeda were getting roots in major citys.

and then Benghazi happened and Obama and Shillary Nop'ed out and left us.

we fought off the italians with horses when they had tanks, ISIS are nothing.
but we wouldnt be in this situation had these governments helped us after the war.

they promised that if we helped them get rid of gaddafi they will supply us with the means to remove him sicne we couldnt before, and in return they will help rebuild Libya afterwards.

we relied on that promise. Libya could have been in a stable state around Mid 2012 had they helped, but the only real progress is appearing now since we tackled this shit on our own

>>58883853
The Saudi's will have to compete with other oil producing countries eventually, especially as things become more peaceful in the middle east and Africa, and Russian sanctions are lifted (if that will ever happen). I think they've had an unhealthy reliance on oil for the last few decades, and it will dry up eventually.
And it's true, the elites had a lot to gain with Gaddafi's removal, but nothing to gain by actually helping anyone, and in the end it's all about what's filling their pockets.

>>58884049
Yeah our incompetent leaders (none of whom I voted for) really fucked you over, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure Shillary is never elected. But like I said, the elites only do things that benefit them.
>>
>>58883842
The Kurd's are at least doing harm to ISIS, they definitely have a significant part in the war in Syria and Iraq and if things go right for them maybe they should get Independence eventually since they seem pretty based.

now in SYRIA i am 100% on the side of Bashar, Bashar is a based leader had done nothing but improve his country, the rebels i wish all they did was fight bashar but they not only are doing that, but they are helping ISIS.

many soldiers on the rebel side are from ISIS or are helping them, Bashar is a Secular leader and a Baathist which is totally cool in my book and we need him to stay if we want stability in the region.

i guarantee you if the Rebels win, Syria will become and Islamic ruled shithole like Saudi Arabia and ISIS. and then the refugees will never leave Europe and everything will be fucked
>>
>>58884146
Hey California lad, now that Ted Cruz has dropped out, it's pretty much Shillary vs Trump, right? Does Bernie actually still have a chance? I'm not sure how the whole process works.

>>58884219
I agree with the Assad thing, but I wouldn't say I'm 100% on his side. He's committed some pretty horrific war crimes (but so has every fucking side, including the US), but he is secular and Syria's future would be best under his government, as long as reforms are put in place after the conflict.

Many of the rebels are just as extremist as IS and Syria would collapse in chaos with them in control.

Basically I support Bashar but also the Kurds and I want them to get independence. They have done so much and fought against IS for so long.
>>
>>58884146
that is true.

the sad truth is that you cant kick their ass without kissing it first. Gaddafi wanted to get straight to the kicking, he should have tried to remain friends with America but he fucked us all with him because of his fucking Ego.

hopfully the new government doesnt make the same mistake and we could actually try and get somewhere with our foreign relations.

we have a fresh start now, we better not fuck it up

>>
>>58884301
Bernie has no chance, the Democrats never wanted him as their nominee (the head of the Democratic National Convention was Hillary's campaign manager in the 2008 election), and they used super delegates and other dirty tricks to make sure he would fall short of the necessary delegates needed. If he chooses to run as an independent (he won't though) it would just split the vote and give Trump an easy victory. There aren't enough delegates left for him to get the nomination, unless he wins almost all the delegates in all the states left.
I was Rand Paul supporter, when he dropped I was a Cruz supporter, and even though I don't really like Trump, I will vote for him because he's still better than Hillary.

>>58884382
I really hope everything goes well over there. Yeah making nice when foreign powers is really the only way a country can survive, unfortunately. I think Libya has a real chance of becoming a developed nation soon, especially if it's willing to work with and trade with foreign powers.
>>
>>58884301
The Rebels hate Bashar because hes a Shiite and they are Sunni

he could give them all a million pounds of Gold and they would overlook that because hes a Shiite.

ISIS are Sunni and Rebels are Sunni. you see why ISIS are doing so well in Syria? Local support is what ISIS thrive upon, the reason they have had problems in Libya is lack of local support, Libya has always been secular as fuck, Saudis hated us for it and Qaddafi definitely moved us in that direction which is something that i liked about him. ISIS are now forced to use Mercenary's from Boko Haram in Libya which barley helps them since they dont know how to fight in the desert or in urban citys
>>

>>
>>58884219
I completely agree and support Assad, I think a lot of the war crimes he committed were propaganda, and pale in comparison to the atrocities of ISIS. I find it very embarrassing than my country started attacking Assad while the fucking Russians were the ones to come in and start fighting ISIS.
Under Assad Syria has been a growing, secular, and progressive society, he's certainly Syria's best future.

>>58884623
Yeah I've been a supporter of both Ron and Rand Paul for years, and like Cruz to some extent, I just don't really think Trump is genuine or really represents conservative values.
In this election, I think more people will be voting for the candidate they dislike the least than the candidate they actually like.

>>58884635
>>58884723
I agree entirely, the U.S. needs to stop intervening in foreign conflicts (except for non-military humanitarian aid), and focus on our problems abroad. I like Bernie for his foreign policy and some of his social stances (not so much his economic ones), and would much rather see him as president than Hillary. I seriously hope for the fate of the world and my country that Hillary is never elected.

I do agree with this to some extent, but he honestly has committed a lot of war crimes against the people of Syria.

Watch this whole video. This happened in Syria every day for years and is still happening (although I'm pretty sure it was more widespread in 2012, but you can see these exact scenes in Aleppo right now).

Nevertheless, Assad is the best choice for Syria's future.

Thanks for the video watching it now.
I know he's committed war crimes, the unfortunate reality is that all sides commit war crimes to some extent. I don't think the crimes that the Ba'ath's have done is really worse than what we did in Vietnam, and maybe even Iraq. civilian casualties will always happen in wars. There were over 80k civilian casualties caused directly by U.S. forces in Iraq, by our militaries own estimation.

There was a Syrian student doing a Q&A in a Syrian general on /pol/ a little bit back who said everybody he knew there supported Assad. However he would probably feel differently if he was not in government controlled territory.
>>
>>58885309
Iraq was especially bad, not only because of the direct 80k civilian casualties but also because of the indirect 1 million casualties and the fact that ever since the invasion, Iraq has been an unstable shithole with a deep sectarian divide.

Like I said, I support Assad but of course it's also important not to forget what he and everyone else in the conflict has committed.

Thanks for that Syrian guy AMA, very interesting.
>>
>>58885447
Yeah, horrible things will always happen during war, in the end, it's the path that will lead to the best outcome that should be followed.
And the Iraq war is a great argument against interventionalism.

Sure things don't look good right now for Trump, but remember, nobody expected him to run, nobody expected him to be the front runner, nobody expected him to win all the states he did, and nobody expected him to be the nominee, now nobody expects him to become president. See a pattern? Already the polls are starting to show they're closer than they previously were, and Rasmussen, a major poll, has become the first major poll to show Trump beating Hillary. a lot of people who never expected him to be the nominee and said they would never vote for him are now begrudgingly falling behind him. It's a narrow, unlikely path to victory, but it's not impossible.
And I certainly expect this to be the highest 3rd party turnout since Perot ran in 1992.

Nothing notable happened other than a Liechtensteinian bro posting as every Liechtensteinian regional.
Good luck on your calc exam mate.
>>
>>58890095
I think it was more so that people didn't want him to be the front runner and didn't want him to win all the states he did and somehow the media translated that into a "prediction".

But it was evident to me from the beginning he was a serious contender based on the amount of media hype he got last autumn. After he won SC, NV, and NH, I was very certain he was going to be a tough competitor (especially after Guac Bowl ¡JEB! got blown out with a $100 million Super PAC). Super Tuesday just sealed his status as the nominee for me.

I'm not a big fan of Trump - I think he's smart and may have something to offer to the economy - but I pray he's elected this November. I don't think people outside the US (and plenty inside) realize just how grave the situation is, but she's as corrupt as they come. She will be a complete disaster for the country, mark my words.

I do think you'll see a lot of ex-Bernie supporters (like myself) floating over to Trump or voting for Jill Stein, undercutting Shillary's support and potentially securing his path to victory. Hopefully that Rasmussen poll is right.

Thanks btw, hoping to score a 4/5 :^)

I knew things could go either way when Rubio dropped out and it was just Trump and Cruz, Cruz's appeal just couldn't extend beyond the Midwest. I'm not a huge a fan of Trump either, but I know he's certainly better than Hillary.
I'm glad you're able to see past Shillary, I've got friends who are Bernie supporters who' say they'll vote for Hillary even though they don't like her, because they think she's still better than Trump, I've tried to convince them to write in Bernie or vote third party, but they won't have it.
The problem is that the liberal mainstream media has painted Trump as the literal anti-Christ, the reincarnation of Hitler. People haven't actually listened to what he's had to say, they've only heard what pundit's and newspapers have twisted his words to say. A hell of a lot is riding on this election, and I'm scared how it might turn out.
And I'm hoping you score a 5/5 :)
>>
>>58890640
m8 she has so many scandals, there's no way I could vote for somebody that dishonest.

It's a shame how increasing and formative of a role the media plays in politics, especially with the massive and hasty dissemination of "information" by online media sources. It's so difficult to engage in intelligent political discourse with people since the internet just serves as a way for people to confirm their own innate biases.

I'm also pretty terrified about this election, I've never seen the country this divided over practically anything. I'll be safe in Boston since I secured a full ride to uni, but if all hell breaks loose then my family is straight fucked.

I'm also hoping for a 5/5, National AP Scholar would be quite the title :^)
>>
>>58890811
Yep, the media has an overwhelming influence of politics, and you can find a news article to support any opinion, try to have a reasonable debate with someone and offer up objective facts, and they'll just post pull up some article affirming their position without providing any facts or resources to back it up.
What's terrifying is that if Hillary gets elected, she'll put an ultra-liberal judge on the supreme court, she'll then then have the SCOTUS majority in her pocket, it doesn't matter that the house has a Republican majority, she'll just use executive actions and her crony supreme court will rule that it's all within her power to do so. Honestly I've been having a lot of anxiety over this election. I doubt they'll be a full fledged civil war if she wins, but the economy will go to hell, worse than than 2008, unemployment will reach record high, while the Wall Street fat cats and Shillary line their pockets. We'll probably get involved in another war like Iraq, we can kiss civil liberties and civil rights goodbye, she'll probably use executive orders to outlaw civilian gun ownership (which her supreme court will rule constitutional), it will be an utter nightmare.
But yeah man you'll do good on your exam and be in Boston so you don't have much to worry about.

>>58891525
Well, about the politeness it depends. I live in Vienna and will speak for it in this reply, but in smaller cities it's more different and polite. Cost of living is pretty high here, even if you live close to the border of Lower Austria. Taxes are higher than Germany's, for example the VAT is 1% higher. (20%)

Inner districts in Vienna are beautiful, and that's why I love it. Some of Vienna's outer districts seem more like the countryside, but are still easily to reach with our excellent public transportation system.

Most students and not-lower-class people speak English and will be able to help you out. About learning German, I don't know, it's all about practise. But yes, it's hard. I think I'm not even exaggerating when I say that you're better off speaking English with people here rather than in Germany. It's definitely very good to settle because of the high living standards, but you have to "pay" for it. Unless you live outside of Vienna, in the alps or something (/comfy/).

Hope I could help you out a bit.

Thanks Austria bro, really helpful. Sounds comfy as fuck, definitely will consider moving there if I have the money.

No problem bro. You can also ask many things on /r/Wien or /r/Austria.

Have a nice timelapse of Vienna:

don't worry. i'm pretty sure most people use reddit anyway

Thanks for the info. Yeah I'd rather visit/move to Austria than Germany. It seems really nice and comfy there, I love the aesthetics of the Swiss alps.
I figure wages and job opportunities make for the high taxes though?

>>58891739
I personally don't, but don't have any problem with Reddit. The people who constantly shout "le go back to le reddit xddddd" are far more annoying than actual redditors who make quality posts.
>>
>>58891789
Job opportunties are okay. Could be better though, but you will be fine. There are so many office jobs, you can start from there for example.

Here's a nice video that explains many things: (You can skip the historical parts etc if you don't care)

And here are two timelapses of the comfier countryside:

Unfamiliar with reddit (I've never browsed the site, only seen other people use it) since I've used 4chan since I was a kid, but pretty sure the hate against it is a meme. I'll make sure to pop on over if I need to ask any questions, Austria seems amazing.

Also Vienna looks beautiful, completely destroys Charlotte

Take a look at my shit city:

Doesn't even look that bad. Architecture is different though, but the rest seems okay. But maybe it's just because they got the best out of it with the timelapse.
>>
>>58891870
Thanks for the videos. Yeah I really hope to visit Austria, it's beautiful and has a great history. I wouldn't mind an office job if it pays well.
Are the woman nice? Women in California can be pretty stuck up and mean.

>>58891889
I honestly think Charlotte looks like a really cool city, definitely not what one typically thinks of when they think of the south. Would love to visit it at some point.
>>
>>58891789
The Islampest is worse in Austria than in Germany
>>
>>58892153
True, just looked it up, Austria is 7% Muslim, Germany is only 2.4%. Do you think Islam is a problem in your country Austria bro? Do you think you're at risk of a terrorist attack or less safe because of it?
>>
>>58892293
Not Austriabro but the risk of getting killed in a terrorist attack is so low that the causalities of them are just considered as "bad luck brian".

Its more annoying to constantly live with/close to these animals as they show no respect to western culture or are just too stupid to integrate in the "easy-mode countries", you will constantly be confronted by the most broken German
>>
>>58891931
>>58892056
That's the funny thing about Charlotte, it's a very deceptive city. It has a beautiful skyline, but it's completely devoid of substance. All those buildings are just corporate centers and the only real downtown attraction is a plaza full of overpriced, expensive retail stores. Other than that, there's NOTHING to do. There aren't any real attractions.

Beyond downtown, there are really limited options for living. West Charlotte (where I live) is completely degenerate. High property crime, high violent crime. Good friend of mine legit aped out and tried to shoot up a 7/11 before committing suicide by cop just a week and a half ago. East Charlotte is also degenerate, though less so. The real nice areas are by Northeast and South Charlotte, but the houses there are usually over a million dollars so only rich bankers and lawyers live there.

Even if I were rich and lived in Myers Park or South Charlotte, I don't even know what I'd spend my money on considering there isn't much to do here.

I guess it's a nice city to visit, but it feels like a once quaint Southern town which has been corrupted and had the soul sucked out of it by the influence of banks and yankees.
>>
>>58892427
Also muslim parents are incompetent monkeys who are totally unable to take care of their offspring. Those visit the worst schools here and constantly harass other children with their stupid muslim banter
>>
>>58892427
Yeah that's what I thought, I don't like to stereotype but it seems like a lot of them never integrate into the countries they migrate to, and they are very rude and disrespectful to locals, and commit lots of rapes/robberies causing crime rates to skyrocket.
Like I said, I don't like to stereotype, and I'm sure there are plenty of good Muslim migrants who don't do this shit, but the ones who do make them all look bad.

>>58892532
I see your point. Yeah the skyline does make it seem really lively. I feel like that's a lot of big cities though, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago. It's full of either rich people or poor people and always have tons of crime.
Sorry about your friend, that's pretty messed up.
>>

Welcome to Toronto

>>58892630
>good Muslim migrants

You wont find any lol, trust me I knew alot of them. While some of them were alright at first they get sooner or later on the wrong track of things probably because of some brainwash muslim priest or so
>>
>>58892710
That's unfortunate. I think religion in general can be pretty damaging to be honest. I know good religious people though, so I really don't know.

Alright, I'm going to bed now, good night everybody, it's been good talking to you all.

Well, the worst part is that I know people who tell me Charlotte used to be a fairly lively city in the 1970s. Downtown (when it was still called that) used to have department stores, car shops, cafeterias, restaurants, etc. Many of the nice historical buildings stood and it was a livable place.

Then the 90s happened and people started moving here like crazy due to the banking explosion, so the city underwent this huge urban sprawl. The I-277's construction blew away hundreds of buildings and created this ugly fucking moat of a highway which surrounds the city. Then they built that shitty Bank of America stadium which just SITS there and is empty most of the year (I think I've only seen the Panthers football games going on there). Then you have the skyscrapers. Yes, they make it look lively, but they're highly unimpressive from street level and they don't even have fucking observation decks. All the locally owned shops are gone and they've been replaced by generic chains and franchises which destroyed the local identity of the city. It's not even really a city more than it is an corporate office park which people live around.

It's sickening.

people aren't idiots, especially not ones on /flag/. they will realise that it's late in NA and that you're probably off to bed.

Chill out m8 he clearly doesn't think we're idiots, he was just saying good night to be cordial.

it's just weird. we're not his mom, we're not his girlfriend. we're not even his friends, and barely even acquaintances. we're just random people who wouldn't miss him if he never came back.

>>58893333
we're not though, and if you would call him your friend you're delusional. you don't know his name, his age, what he looks like, what he does for fun, etc. etc. etc. don't even know if he's a he.
>>
>>58893250
California bro is a great guy who I've had some great conversations with, I'd miss him if he suddenly disappeared and never came back. I consider him an essential part of the /flag/tism community. It's not weird at all.
>>
>>58893384
essential? no. /flag/tism would go on fine without him. he has contributed nothing.

you're not exactly a positive thinker, are you?

He's contributed to having great conversations. Don't be such a downer, you leaf.
