Not everyone is a CEO or politician. The protest against the Iraq war was the biggest anti war protest in history. Most of the flaws in America can be attributed to the disconnect between the will of the people and the actions of our government. Also it's not the cold war anymore, we bomb countries far less often now (although I'm not denying that it's a problem when we do unless there's a very good justification for it) because you get more with honey than you do with vinegar.
