Isn't 4chan blocked in Mainland China?
No, likely because so few Chinese come to 4chan, 4chan itself isn't blocked. However, because Google services are throttled and the captcha is owned by Google, in order to post, Chinese posters must use a 4chan pass to bypass the captcha, as it never loads.

Actually this isn't quite true. 4chan actually blocks Chinese IP addresses, so you have to have a pass to post. I have done the following in an attempt to post from China for free: connect to VPN, solve Captcha, disconnect from VPN, press Post, and the error message wss that IP's banned, not that the Captcha wasn't solved.

Make sure you do a bit of research about China before you come, basic stuff like knowing you can't drink the tap water and that toilet paper usually isn't put in the toilet, but rather a trash can because of the plumbing, etc. French is basically the 2nd most spoken foreign language in Shanghai after English. All of my roommates are French speakers, tbqh.

I may be biased but I like the Cantonese singer better lol. My exams are actually going quite well, thank you for asking. I did the math and I should be able to get into my first choice university even in the worst case scenario. Only physics and calculus left now. By the way how did you know it was me?
Fun fact my Taiwanese GF asked me why there are so many more asian female/white male couples and barely any asian male/white female couples. It's kindof rude but the real reason is asian men are shorter, smaller penises and generally no muscle.

Hmm how do I explain it? 個 and 件 are used to denote different things, e.g. 三個人 three people, 三件衣服 three shirts. So 這個 and 這件 have the same meaning, but are used depending on the item you are referring to. Are you a tourist?

Sort of. People drink it but they filter it through boiling devices.
You are either going to be concerned about waterborne illness or heavy metals. Presumably most Taiwanese are concerned about the former since they do drink the water.
Really depends on the age of your building. I know there are people in my building who don't drink it at all, but I figure if heavy metals are a concern, all the pipes are probably crusted over anyway, so the ppm is probably fairly low.
