we got BTFO by globalization. in 1940, our city's population was 671,659. but then the american steel industry died because of jews and our population began to shrink rapidly.

both cities are in the commonwealth but we're not similar.
philli is flat and on the ocean and is a 6 hour drive away. it's very far away, i rarely go there. also, philli is full of ultra-violent niggers and is poor whereas pittsburgh has a white middle class and is booming right now.

How important is the city in the greater scheme of things in the USA? I've just checked the size, and the city proper is larger than Sevilla which does bring up some questions towards where people even went.

The Penguins stink, Shittsburg.

We're not very relevant on the national scale. It's mostly a quiet city nowadays.

I'd consider it the economically and culturally most important city in the entire region between NYC, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Indianapolis, Detroit and Toronto.
Then again there's nothing else in the region other than Ohio with its triple C dumps; Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland.
Also city proper numbers have no meaning in the US where everyone lives in the suburbs. The entire metro region has around 2.5 million inhabitants.
