yeah, tumblr likes to think that gender is related to your personality when that's not at all the case, they're related to the physical sex and trannies aren't trannies because they're masculine or feminine when they are female or male respectively, rather because they have a form of body dysphoria, not at all the same thing
though to be fair i can understand why they would think that, tumblr also likes to talk about how gender is a societally-created concept (it's not, feelings of gender are innate, gender ROLES are societally created, [sort of, though there are usually reasons why things are the way they are, it's not usually arbitrary], but the mental concept of gender is inherent), so i can see why they would be confused and think that it's related to personality, which IS determined a fair amount by your surroundings (though not entirely, but it is especially so for females, which most tumblrinas are, because females are more sensitive to their social surroundings than males are, on average - i believe the most commonly cited study to confirm this is that, between adopted kids, the females' personalities adapted more readily, more rapidly, and more completely to their new adopted homes than their male counterparts) - in addition, females tend to do better in social situations even when they have mental conditions that would inhibit this (autistic girls aren't as bad in social situations as autistic boys, for example, and autism is more prevelant in boys than girls). it wouldn't really surprise me if tumblrinas were some form of autistic either, so they do better on the internet and spend less time outside in actual reality, which allows stupid ideas to fester in their minds without any intereference from outside of the echo chamber
