I was adopted from South Korea before I was 1 and never really looked into the country. What are the good parts and bad parts of it? Do people like it?

They make good food, good electronics and good movies. That's really the essence of the country.
I was there when I was twelve, and girls would come up to me on the street to try to practice English. One time a group came up to me and just gave me a cake... It was very fun and very weird. It was a modern, developed country, but it is still very foreign, in a way. Not like when you go to different countries in Europe or America, where everything is still very familiar.
Of course, it's not like that anymore. It's become a lot more cosmopolitan, and they are used to tourists now. You won't get any more attention there than you would in Japan.

Great and cheap food, generally friendly people. Seoul is a great city, lots of things to do and see.
Lots of Koreans are massive alcoholics though and the shit they drink (Soju, Makgeolli) is absolute garbage. Not to mention their absolutely terrible beer. They also have a massive inferiority complex.
pros: fast internet, fast delivery(be it food or online shopping), good electronics(we have god-tier companies like samsung and lg), advanced public transportation
60 million people live in a piece of land smaller than one of america's states, so everything is really packed. Therefore you don't need to travel a lot to get access to anything you want - they're just around you everywhere.
cons: people could be friendlier. Not a good country for extroverts(could be hard making friends)
Everything is pretty fast over here, but I feel that people are more impatient and impersonal as a result. That's about it. It has its good and bad parts - definitely not for everyone, but it's not such a bad place overall.
