I thought consonants were pronounced at the end of a word if the next word started with a vowel?
>>
>>61647108
I see what you mean but can't think of any exemple
>>
>>61647089

I was trying to translate "uncharted waters", which read as "eaux inexplore" and was confused. Thanks for your help and thanks to the other anons except the sheep fucker
>>
>>61647260
Ah yeah, well it's pronounced as a z, eaux zinexplorées
As far as I know it's always like this
>>
>>61647218
>a fucking leaf

>>61647231
non non c'est bon chef je me rends
>>
>>61647260
>"eaux inexplore"
in this specific case there's no liaison between "eaux" and "inexplorées"
>>
>>61647329
Why's that?
>>
>>61647302
>eaux zinexplorées
tu quoi mec

Et quand tu dis "les eaux inexplorées", le prononces-tu "les zeaux zinexplorées" ? Et quand tu dis "les eaux usées", le prononces-tu "les zeaux zusées" ?
>>
>>61647466
>>
>>61647389
in general you don't use liaisons after plural nouns
>>
>>61647421
Je le prononce comme je l'ai dit. Peut-être que c'est différent au Québec

>quand tu dis "les eaux inexplorées", le prononces-tu "les zeaux zinexplorées"

Oui ? En tout cas les "les zeaux" c'est absolument certain
>>
>>61647496
nice
>>
>>61647511
Alright, can you tell me any exceptions for plural noun liaisons?
>>
>>61647518
>En tout cas les "les zeaux" c'est absolument certain
Oui on s'entend, mais je parlais clairement de l'autre liaison.

>Oui ?
pêh je crois que tu es en train de mémer, particulièrement par rapport au « les zeaux zusées ». J'ai même été vérifié sur Forvo au cas où ce serait vraiment normal en France, et puis j'ai pu confirmer que les autres Français ne font PAS la liaison.

Bref, tu as tort.
>>
>>61647654
>Bref, tu as tort

Les accents régionaux ça existe, ça vient peut-être de là. Je ne dis pas les eaux zusées c'est vrai mais pas de doute pour inexplorées. Je dis pas "tu as tort" aux Québécois quand ils massacrent la prononciation de certains mots, c'est juste comme ça qu'ils le font, point.
Mais en l'occurence pour OP en effet vaut mieux qu'il la fasse pas
>>
>>61647581
I couldn't think of any off the top of my head, so I did a quick search and it turns out actually the liaison is facultative. Most people seems to prefer not using it, but you're still allowed to use it, so actually I was wrong earlier when I claimed the French anon was wrong.

So basically it's whichever which way you like. It's probably somewhat of a regional thing too, both within France and without.

>>61647760
ouais pardon j'ai été un peu rapide à passer un jugement : >>61647813

À titre informatif, tu viens de quelle région ?
>>
>>61647881
Pas de soucis au moins t'as fait de la recherche pêh et j'étais persuadé que c'était la norme la liaison, faut dire que "eaux inexplorées" ça revient pas souvent dans une conversation
Je viens du Languedoc-Roussillon, plein sud donc

I see, thanks for your help.
