Do you speak a constructed language, /int/? If so, which one(s)? If not, are there any that you find interesting?
Sindarin seems nice

Ithkuil is interesting, but it's pretty much impossible to learn.

>>61633693
I mad my own conlang, it has about 1500 words and is bretty speakable
>>61634282
I don't think there are any fluent Ithkuil speakers. It still looks like a fun language though.
>>61634331
Cool! May we see some sample sentences?
>>61634601
I doubt you can read Cyrillic, plus I can't write it on my phone, I use lots of obscure Cyrillic letters to write down that bizarre pronunciation

Latin doesn't have this many letters and relies on diacritics rather than additional basic symbols that you can further modify. An ö already contains a diacritic, while the Mongolian Cyrillic barred o is still modifiable. Latin sucks when you exceed 40 phonemes per language.
I speak valencian which is not constructed but it is as useless as one of them

Oh and

Kek because having all consonants have a voiced counterpart except /q/ is realistic.
>>61635860
>no tones, vowel length AND phonation modes
Boi with this sissy phonetics it sure is easy to comfortably use Latin and it look good
>>61635744
Added to this
>bidental fricatives
We have this and it is an allophone to the arabic pharyngal fricative :^)

If you look at the consonant chart we have a uvular plosive, fricative, approximate, and also a trill :^)
They are marked as [q], [xh], [ř], [ř] respectively.
>>61636222
Alright, looks like I'm going to have to turn the PC on and have a closer look at that conlang of yours.
>>61636114
>Alright, this one is also dismissed. So how do you spell it in Latin?
There are tonal letters written at the start of the word to indicate tone
For example:
¯Uakal here is in high tone.
ˇUakal here is in falling rising tone
>>61636191
>Being a pleb who does not respect the sheer power of tones.

>>61633693
No, but I can understand quite a bit of Interslavic (I would say approximately as much as Serbo-Croatian, if not even more).
>>61636367
I'm back on PC.
>There are tonal letters written at the start of the word to indicate tone
That one may work with your conlang, but it would make mine look like shit. Alright, I don't really have contour tones, more something like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Register_(phonology) and then again I use the same shitty method for syntax, but at least I can maintain 1:1 ratio of transliteration between the native writing system for my language and Cyrillic, and that's barely possible with Latin
>>61636524
Do you understand esperanto as well?
>>61636595
Not my conlang btw. Just one I am learning because of its sheer beauty (^: I doubt John Quijada(The creator of the language) is a fucking leaf.
Oh and does your language have creaky voice?
>and that's barely possible with Latin
>Pleb has never heard about combining characters

>>61636367
Here's more or less how it was with my conlang in March 2015
>>61636720
>Oh and does your language have creaky voice?
Not as a phoneme. It uses lots of breathy voice, though, the language is basically one loud whisper.
>>61636722
>>61636597
Why would I understand Esperanto?
>>61636722
>Not having aspirated-non aspirated distinction
>No lateral fricative
Retroflex consonants are a nice touch tho.
>>61636840
I was continuing the conlang from my childhood, in no aspect of this language did I give a fuck how natural languages behave. For this reason, we are looking at an extremely advanced nooblang here.
>>61636819
Esperanto has some slavic inspired words. Like domo. Also you seem to speak english and there are english loan words in esperanto (Such as jes).

>>61636920
Alright, there is one, I forgot about the one in words like фнoттy "mountain".
>>61636920
I see a retroflex ejective
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiceless_retroflex_stop
>>61637044
It's but a glorified allophone. Other that in this case: >>61637018 there are no retroflexes here
As for Ithkuil, nice writing system
>>61636910
This thread is about constructed languages so I don't see how I'm wrong, you nincompoop.
>>61636885
>domo
I suppose that means home?
All of the examples of Esperanto I've seen seemed like a messed up Romance language. A few words don't really change much.
I speak Esperanto but I don't think it really qualifies, it's a living language unlike other conlangs and it's evolving naturally.
>>61637088
Yeah, the creator of the language knows his shit. He has been conlanging for most of his life. On this proposed Ithkuil flag(pic related). It shows the years the language has been worked on
The language has gone through sever renditions. At one time having even more consonants than now

How do you express the struggles of LGBT POC?
>>61642850
Assigning gender to a person or animal in the language is completely optional. Nouns have inherent grammatical gender though. For example, ará (bird or flying creature) is female, dara (beer) is male and dhamaleja (thankfulness) is neuter in grammatical gender.

Oh and our pronouns don't have gender however there is a shit ton of them :)
>>61643415
You can refer to everyone with "ed". If you wanna specify the gender, it goes as follows.
Masculine: edu, edeth, edem, edek, edew-
Feminine: edá, edath, edam, edak, edaw-
In all other cases, you can use the unspecified gender: edy, edyth, edym, edyk, edyj-
And plural: edí, edídh, edíl, edík, edíz-
