Remember that after being freed a lot of fucked up shit happened to Blacks in the states. So technically the best plan if you can see the future, werea black freedman and you could not change it (like integrate the natives as equals in Liberian society) it would be to have went to Liberia and stay until the civil war then immigrate to the states with your western post secondary education since many well off Liberians went to western universities back in the day.
