How am I deluded? Just because something was problematic (weak) doesn't it couldn't be improved upon. That was the whole point of the 3rd May Constitution - inherited monarchy, more power to the king through centralization, more funding towards the army (planned 100,000), more peasant freedoms (state support) etc. The problem was that this reform came way to late, like 30 years late.

You're partly right, but remember - Poland was partitioned by three upcoming empires. It mostly wasn't our ancestors fault but our neighbors fault, our geological positions fault. Hypothetically if:
Russia, Prussia and Poland decided to partition Austria - they would do so.
Austria and Poland partition Prussia - they would do so.
Poland was mostly in a bad geopolitical spot, more so than in an internal one. I of course agree with you to some degree, but you're also not objective and way to harsh and self hating.
