Some of those words don't mean what it says. It's like a loose translation fitted to Turkish words.

Like what?

Salach doesn't mean stupid, it's more like 'ugly, horrible, disabled, awful' - all depends on context.
Nach to mean never doesn't work at all, just two words that sound the same - a far stretch.
Abair is the verb 'to say' in Irish.
Just a few examples.

I've a few friends with Irish, so I do my best to speak it with them. Aside from them and a college society - it's just on the Internet.

Even the majority fucking Irish people don't speak Gaelic anymore.

Cad é mar atá sibh, a /eire/?

What do you think the future for the language is? Will it survive through future generations? From what I've heard from my Irish friends, they grew up hating the language because of the shitty way it's taught, but now they wish that they knew it. Also heard from someone that the immigrant children are picking it up quickly.
>>
>>61528313
You're right! We never spoke Gaelic anyway.
>>
>>61528396
>Also heard from someone that the immigrant children are picking it up quickly.
lol no. Gaelscoileanna (Irish speaking schools) will have a token immigrant or two, but most immigrants barely care to learn English let alone Irish.
>>
>>61528582
Oh well, I think it would be especially kekky if the muzzies took on Gaeilge instead of English.

I gotta brush up on my irregular verbs, already forgotten some of them.

The muslims at least put a sign in Irish on the Dublin mosque so that's something I suppose.
