I don't believe that to be true, a lot of vlachs fled from the turks, that's why they ended up as far as Croatia. The others which fled from the hungarians ended up in Serbia or in Czechia. The Dalmatian connection it's interesting though, seeing as a lot of roman colonists were exactly from the regions where vlachs ended up before their slav assimilation.
