They took it way too far and ended up killing the Greek economy. Sure Greece has to reform but it should have been handled more delicately instead of eviscerating the country financially. They also should have allowed the Greeks to hold that referendum in 2011 instead of refusing it out of hand of and subsequently blackmailing their president.
