「ハングル愛」運動をする人のブログであったが、「家族(カジョク)」という言葉は日本語残滓だから替わりに「食口(シクク)」という国語を使おうという主張だ。ネチズンが好きそうな内容だった。日帝残滓を無くして私たちのものを活かそうという運動はこれまでもたくさんあったし、日本に対する反感が作用して多くの共感を得たからだ。

Populist? Maybe. But not kneejerk.
I just dislike how immigration has been the issue that has defined this debate. Regardless of which side you're on, there are more issues people based their choice on: long-term prospects of the EU, the economy, national sovereignty, the perceived undemocratic nature of the EU (e.g. how Greece was dealt with during the economic collapse), etc.
I feel like far too many people have taken the moral highground on what isn't even a moral issue.

あとEU圏内は相場が固定されていて、ドイツのユーロは常に他国に比べて安い
どれだけ輸出しても通貨高になることはないから輸出国にとっては極めて有利なんだ
日本円は変動相場だから金利の影響や貿易収支の影響を受けて、基本的に売った分だけ円高になる
またEU圏内で難民の受け入れ枠については、ドイツが決めてるから、お金だけ出して難民受け入れさせられる国はかなり怒る
そして地方交付税なるものも無いから、負担させるだけさせて、殆どの国には恩恵が無い
また予算の割り当てもEUで決められる
軍事費とかね、盟主のドイツが緊縮財政だから、他の国も従わざるを得ない
従わなかったらルール違反でEUから追い出されるから
本当に不公平で、ドイツとフランスがいい思いするだけの体制でしかない
こんな気持ち悪いものをアジアでやったら間違いなく戦争だよ、日本は本当に恨まれる国になる

I'm sorry what I meant by a "public school" was a state school. Anyway the article mentioned about a primary school in Glasgow, where 181 out of 222 pupils are from either Romania or Slovakia. They don't speak English and the school can't afford materials to teach English to them due to budget cut.
It seems to me that it's not just "Syrian refugees" but it's the "EU immigrants from poorer countries" are the problems that people are fed up with.
