Is anyone else still in shock that Britain is actually leaving the European Union? It's so surreal that it's really this time.

I'm glad of this because they could show us the way, so I hope UK will go well/better.

That remains to be seen. The process will take 2 years, the referendum is technically non-binding, the political class of the EU is overwhelmingly europhile, British big business needs the Free Market area, Juncker and Hollande have both stated leaving the EU is irreversible and there's nothing about the article 50 procedure that prevents Britain from changing its mind halfway through. For as long as the procedure takes (2 years), they remain part of the EU.
I'm almost certain that there will be a second referendum after highly symbolic concessions made by Brussels that might result in a minor "Remain" victory, especially after some economic fearmongering ("You think the pound crashing was bad? Just imagine what happens if we REALLY leave!").

The British economy took a heavy hit (they slipped under France literally overnight) but otherwise nothing horribly wrong yet.
