False, they were Syrian, Phoenician, they were their own thing, the Danaoi, came from Adana in South Eastern Turkey, facing Cyprus, they were probably the Danaoi of the Greek poems, either way Cyprus was a great kingdom on its own, not a Greek colony, though they were later colonized and had contacts with them since ancient times
