Well, here it's controversial. The ultranationalists, who you mentioned, hate Serbians and literally wants your blood. Otherwise you're neutral for like everyone here. We still have an ethnic Serb majority village here, and two major cities that has Serb heritage (Szentendre and Ráckeve - Rác means Serb in older Hungarian), and they're treated well.
The only thing that impedes the further development of our relations here is that many people likes Croatia, there are even some opinions that states our "brotherhood". Which is funny, considering that their biggest national hero wanted to backstab us in 1848.
