I wouldn't vote for him. Our presence (while hated by some), is a major contributing factor to the peace we are having.
If he does get in office though it's because people were hating on us so much, that the average American lost the last fuck they gave about the rest of the world's safety.
This is cool and all, but can we talk about something else for a change? What do you think is going on in Mongolia right now?
>>60825464
Do people really think one person is calling the shots or am I missing something? Why do people care about who's becoming president? It's mostly symbolic.

The President is the commander in chief. The power that they do hold is heavily concentrated on the military.
Not sure if they have the authority to end all of the bases due to diplomatic treaties and what not, but they certainly can call up high military command, and have them do it. They are the boss of the military.

>Why do people care about who's becoming president?
As far as I'm concerned the results of this race are only important because the next president likely will nominate as many as 4 supreme court justices, which will set the balance of the country for basically the rest of my natural life.
Party politics or historical nonevents like "first female president" mean jack-shit to me.
>>60825518
President in the US is much more than a representative figure like in most European countries
