Why do people from Spain pronounce z sounds with a lisp? Like they would say "nethesito" instead of "necesito"
>>
Because that's how it sounds?
>>
That's how it's pronounced here.
>>
Well, I dont
For me is like an "s" sound
>>
>>60682210
Why non-spanish Speakers pronounce z like an s.

So they say "Caza" like "Casa" so you don't know if they go to home or hunting

Our system is superior by any metric.

As you say tweny instead of twenty. That's all. Just the accent has no better explanation. Even so if you travel to the south of Spain you'll find that ''S'' sound as well. Btw in theory the C has to sound like TH not like an S (but yeah all is about the accent dude).

>>

The Z (th) sound is from the Latin language.
>>
>>60686016
There was no /θ/ in Latin. It comes from old Spanish /ts/ that is the result of palatalization of Latin /k/ and /t/. I don't see anything terrible in it though.
>>
>>60682210
Same here, too. I don't have a problem with it though, it is easier to understand.

Yup. Except for 'j', though. We usually pronounce that like /h/ instead of /x/.

In Canary Islands is like that too sometimes
But there not many people speak spanish tho (I belive)

But 'casa' has a 'z' sound anyway, or at least that's how it's in Portuguese. We pronounce 'caza'(or 'caça', in Portuguese) like 'cassa'.

It probably comes from the Basque influence as Castillian was born bordering the region, we pronounce the Z literally the same.

Many basic words come from the Basque too, a couple examples:

Left = Izquierda = Ezkerra

Scrap = Chatarra = Txatar

>>
>>60685794
Latin had the th sound borrowed from Greek but it turned into a regular t in vulgar Latin. I think the soft th sound developed in Spanish when Spaniards took Moor dicks up their ass.

>>
>>60693830
Spanish has to sound dry, rocky and martial, like it's fucking origins.

No accent, no "singing" like Argentinians or Italians, just like a punch or a spit on your face, like a good Madrid accent.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs7kI-5i1go

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUSgxCXL5v0

Strong R, strong lisped Z and the crudest the better.

You need to sound angry, resentful, ironic or even desperate when speaking Spanish, that's the good spanish accent, happy Caribbean and Latino accents don't express the true essence of this fucking language born in the mountainous regions of northern Spain during centuries of permanent war.
>>
>>60694507
We already have germanic languages for that.

Well, Spanish was born out of a mix of germanic, basque and hispano-roman peoples (who still had a lot of mannerisms from celtic and iberian) speaking a bastardized latin. We still have a lot of words that come from the visigothic language, like guerra (war) which comes from "werra".
>>
>>60695485
Guerra is present even in Italian and French m8.

So?

It's the Visigoths the ones who brought it here along with much more words still in use in common Spanish. In Italy might have been the Ostrogoths, and in France maybe also the Visigoths or the Franks or who knows.
>>
I laughed my ass off when I first heard Castilian Spanish. It's gay as fuck.
>>
>>60695931
remember that great part of the peninsula spoke mozarab (mix of visigothic dialects and arab) and not arab (only in the south) itself during the muslim ocupation... and the castilian was born in the north, in cantabria, close to asturias and basque country
