Does anyone here have insight to as to why Japanese developers/directors and all sorts of major "creative elements" seem to move seemingly so "sluggish" when compared to westerners.
Here it seems that if there is a demand for something, the market adapts to it fast, even to go as far as oversupplying the particular demand.
>I want comic hero movies
<Here's a shit load of marvel movies
>Holy shit, we sure as shit like like to suck on EA:s dlc-shooting dick.
<Well here's even more compartmentalized games, we will have you know that this time we even have a pre-determined schedule when the next part of this and that game come out. You want an app for this horseshit also?>Yes please
So that's basically how this stuff works outside of Japan. Here's basically how shit gets done in Japan
>Final Fantasy VII remake plox, will pay actual money for this
>A shit load of fans are regurgitating this for 10+ years.
<*Sighs ...ok
And this... this is actually the main point:
And then there's a shitload of anime's that should have at least gotten some sort of date's. Stuff you would expect almost be released already. But what do we get? Total fucking silence, a couple of "maybe's" and "it's coming out at some point" at best.
Do these guys hate money? Get that shit out and start selling the shit. The shows have the pull, in the country and abroad.

Oh shit, I haven't watched my mandatory daily dose of cuck porn yet
this is just from observation and common sense, but
>anime
contrary to popular belief, anime fans are a niche market in japan. some japanese anon in the japanese thread shared a pic for the percentage of viewers of anime on a certain station (3% was the highest I remember seeing for one of the shows). literally none of them were season anime, aka long running shows like one piece are more "popular" there.
in the west, there are more anime fans who are pirates than those willing to buy blurays.
bluray/dvd sales keep the anime industry alive.

Japanese vidya fans are desiring that shit as well.
The developer already knows there is a big demand for the FF7 remaking, but they haven't launched yet. Why? I don't know, but it is said that they consider the FF7 remake as a final weapon, so we need to wait it until they decide to sell it. Maybe, when their business goes bad so much, they would decide it.

I strongly wanted to play the SimCity 5 that should be an improved version of SimCity 4, but EA launched the shit, you know. EA destroyed lots of SimCity fans all over the world.

>in the west, there are more anime fans who are pirates than those willing to buy blurays.
Sadly this is the case. But surely they get some money out of, for example, putting anime's like Attack On Titan and Sidonia No Kishi on netflix and all those other series.
Wouldn't it be smart to go even more international? But i suppose that works both ways. I don't see that many western creators targeting japan intentionally either.

Tis' is a shame. "Vote with your dollar" could work, but not enough people seem to be doing that. They hate it, but they still pay for that type of shit.

>3%

i read an interview somewhere that said they do get money from crunchyroll and other stream sites, but not as much as from blurays.

So they just... don't care?
...or they have more important things*(*moe) to do?
