I want to learn a language in the Chinese family (none of that dialect shit)
I know Mandarin is the most widely spoken in China, but Cantonese has the greatest amount of expats and thus the greatest amount of speakers outside of china
I already know (to an extent) Japanese, so the hanzi aren't going to be a problem.
I plan on moving to Seattle, too. So whatever dialect will let me speak the most with Chinese people outside of China.
