Businesses invest in China because it's dirt cheap. Even though it's a shithole, at least established companies aren't using child slave labor camps or have entire cities under giant smog clouds.
There's no racism involved, LatAm in general has much higher standards of living than almost every other place we send our manufacturing to, and this is reflected in the quality of goods that they produce.
