Some thoughts:
- British English sounds appealing even to non-English speakers, this might be why The Beatles (and many other British bands) were so successful internationally.
- Korean and Japanese pop music is also successful internationally, their languages lend better to music because they do not have the influence of Chinese tones.
- Mandarin and Cantonese are D: to listen to! The tones make music sound appalling! To non-Chinese speakers, the tones make the speaker sound as though they are constantly asking a question in mid-sentence. Worse, inexperienced Chinese speakers who are bad with the tones sound as though they are saying completely different words! Very annoying!

Double J sound in Korean sounds more abrupt and distinct, Japanese consonants flow better with the vowels being more evenly distributed (most commonly one vowel for every one consonant, sometimes two consonants for one vowel) and also has the ō vowel sound for disambiguation.

You misunderstood what I meant, but I wasn't very clear. What I meant was that the order is usually one consonant followed by one vowel to give a more "even distribution of vowels and consonants", it makes the language sound more "flowing".
One small exception is the small tsu used for double consonant which as you said is somewhat uncommon.

European Portuguese is annoying, yes. Because of you folks everyone puts Portuguese near the bottom in those ranks, it's shameful. I just don't know why do they keep considering European Portuguese instead of the real one (the Brazilian, of course) which is undeniably 100x better since we improved it in so many ways, as colonies usually do.
