Tbh there is no excuse for being "really" poor in Bulgaria right now. I understand old people and pensioners, but young people have no fucking excuses. There are a shitton of call centers and outsourced stuff in the 3-4 big cities that offer a good salary for our standard, and you only need to know English. And if you are so stupid that you can't do that, there are also a lot of new production facilities making car parts, refrigerators and whatever, so you can always get a job doing that.
