The Occitan language is ok nowadays, few people speak it from birth but it's not endangered anymore, you can learn it in rpetty much every school here, and the number of speakers is stabilized.
But an Occitania independance makes no sense anyway, it's a cultural entity it never was a political one. It always was composed of several kingdoms/duchies and similar things. They all shared the Occitan language with small variants but it never was united under one rule, one country.

Absolutely, the big cities suffered lots of destruction during the war and are now filled with leftists and immigrants (Berlin in particular). Munich is really one of the few major cities that was able to preserve some of it's original flair, but generally speaking the smaller toown are much nicer to live in.

I'm not them but if you are trying to ask the difference between states or counties its autonomy. All states have a great deal of autonomy and very different laws between them, its very decentralized in most aspects. The automomy of counties depends on states, for example in my state NY the counties have a good deal of autonomy, but In places like Trashachusetts (Massachusetts) there is absolutely no autonomy for counties to the point where I don't believe there is even county governments

New York isn't our capital for several reasons:
1. It is too big and congested, bills would pass/fail entirely based upon traffic and that is retarded
2. Its always just been Albany, which is far more central to the state and somewhat of a compromise between upstate and NYC/Long Island
3. It would open us up to even more retarded corrupt actions and illegal bill passings. NY is already a very corrupt state and the current governer (Andrww Cuomo, salt of the earth) is a dickbag who abuses that. He also passed the NY SAFE Act (extremely harsh gun control law when we were ok before) illegally, and its still there because corruption
