What's your opinion on North Iberia?
Since it's the least touristical area of the peninsulae i think that you, pheraps, would like to learn more about this particular region

I'm from Barcelona. It must be included, at least in a historical sense.
It was the main city of the Spanish March (Also called Gothic March. Hence Catalunya - Gothalaunia - "land of goths"). Suffering a similar situation to that of Asturias (Christian territory while the rest of the peninsula was under moor control).
But it's also important to highlight that nowadays you won't get the "experience" in this city, unless you look for it very well: visiting historical places and the main towns of the "Catalunya Vella" (old Catalonia). It's a shame, to see what my land has become. It makes me sad.

I also love small villages near the sea, surrounded by greenery.
I think that people like the scorching beaches and barren mediterranean lands cause that's what touristic entrepeneurs sell them. Also, it's 100% guaranteed to have good weather.
The thing i like about the southern regions is that it feels very free. You can walk barefoot without a t-shirt and spend the whole day swimming and walking around. It's very freshening.

Northern Iberia seems god tier for anyone who likes nature and outdoors activities. It's about the only place in Europe where you can be close to the mountains for skiing and also close to the ocean forr surfing. Beautiful scenery for hiking and looks a lot greener than I originally thought.

Yes, In North Portugal, i advise you to visit Braga, Guimarães (the city were the first king was born), Viana do Castelo, Barcelos and Porto.
In Galiza i advise you to visit Santiago, Coruña but i think galician bros can help you better in that part

Galicia has some lovely towns, Santiago, Vigo and a couple of other places are worth visiting but the best thing about it is the countryside and small villages. Also they have their own fun little celtic revival so if you're from the fringe you'll love it. Porto is just gorgeous, I took a long time to fall in love with Portugal as where I stayed in the countryside it was kind of boring and too close to Porto, so just filled with tourists. When I actually went to Porto and the sun came out it was just stunning. I can't find any of my photos from there on my phone but there's a load on my Instagram (also of Northern Spain) if you want to take a look! @tnorthiscold

Got the ferry to Santander and drove westward. Stayed in a little village called Anayo in Asturias, and I can't remember where we stayed in Portugal but it was so close to the Galician border that sometimes we'd get lost and accidentally end up in Spain on the way home. I flew back from Porto because uni while everyone else got the ferry a few days later. 10/10 holiday. Seriously man Asturias is something else, Oviedo is gorgeous and I've never had as good seafood as in Gijón. The countryside is phenomenal as well, just beautiful wherever you go - most days we didn't even set off with a plan and just drove out to whenever. Bizarrely ended up crashing a wedding in Covadonga, that was fun

I can't tell if there are many differences between Aveiro and Porto, my retarded father always shittalks Porto whenever he has the chance to so I rarely get to talk about this with my family. They're both port cities that were built on trade, industry, and good work ethics, both were built upon and still rely on their rivers and exports, the mentality is quite urban for the most part and today they colaborate a lot on the academic level.
