Why do Turks like Erdogan? Do you like living in a repressed dictatorship? Or are you the majority of stupid farming Turks that want to follow the Sharia and dont want any criticism on their great dumb fucking leader.

You automatically go investigate Trump supporters m8. Erdogan is 80 lvl troll. He hasn't broken single law. Effectively marginalized libtards in his country and will get reelected as PM again. It's still none of your business.

Erdogan's government the most free government in Turkey that ever came to power. If you knew how Turkey started out as a literal dictatorship or more like a kingdom you would know why people were voting for Erdogan and his party.

Turkey is a country that is always in action and might feel a bit chaotic at times.

It may not be any of my businesses. It just saddens me that the Turks choose such a stupid leader and I can ask them for their reasons. Or is this place a dictatorship now? I can express my opinion right? And yeah you dont break laws if you bend them, doesn't necessarily mean that its okay to do it like that. like taking all the power from the Parliament by making 1/3 of them punishable by law.

>>
>>60242231
Why do you give up on a democracy? wouldn't it be nice to respect minorities and express your opinions freely in public?
>>
>>60242248
Well Spain is the same Spain. While on the other hand modern republican Turks and Ottoman Turks are almost the opposite of each other.
>>
>>60242295

every state is obligated to protect itself from decay
in germany we also can't express every kind of opinion freely, people are simply brainwashed so hardcore they don't get into conflict with the state a lot
>>
>>60242276
Not at all. I like Turkey a lot. I just dont get why they choose such a stupid leader. I was there on my vacation and loved the people and the country it just seems weird that that kind of people choose Erdogan.

when we respect ''minorities'' they start crying about muh genocides and start nagging big brother EU.

>Express your opinions freely in public

you can still express your opinions, just not in public, since you will most likely end up in jail if it doesnt align with the current ruling party.

But look at the nice side of things, you can still publish books and stuff at prison AND unlike 20 years ago, the state wont execute you for it.
>>
>>60242418
Yeah he may offer that but why arent Turks angry about the censorship in their country? Do they only care about security? I mean you can be a good secure leader without being an authoritarian right.

erdoğan is the by far most pro-minority mp. He has everyone from every background in his party. He gave up to much actually he should take back some of them
>>
>>60242425
Because we are pretty gleichgeschaltet already.
Theres no need to jail anyone when everyone complies.

For example, when I have a discussion with a German he will simply recite everything exactly how he read it in the news and they all seem to get the exact same information.
>>

>Do they only care about security?

when almost the entire world hates you and you stand right next to hell on earth, yes people care more about their security than freedoms.

I dont think a dutch would realize how its like living here though, most people work very hard not for the luxury of going to a foreign country for holiday or anything, but to simply feed themselves at the end of the day.

Everyday is survival here, we dont care about freedom
>>

Maybe your right, survival is more important than freedom in your situation. But the reason a lot of countries dont like Turkey is because they have such an authoritarian leader. I asked a question you dumb cockroach. This is the kind of shit the media is talking about of Turkey oppressing Kurds.
I didn't believe shit because Turkey's expertise is literally genocide so if they wanted to get rid of them they would've done by now.

However those videos seem to prove me wrong and I'm asking why they shot them.
>>
>>60245569
No, considering it is possibly an active area for guerilla warfare. Soldiers should not put themselves to risk for the sake of "civilians" who don't even obey soldier's rule to reestablish order.
>>
>why do people like right-wing nationalist authoritarians?
I wish they wouldn't, but it's not limited just to Turkey.

There is Putin, Orbán, Kaczynski, Trump etc.

Right-wing populism is a very dangerous world-wide phenomenon.

Honestly there is almost no civilians in those tiny provinces where PKK starts war. When they realize they cant win they get out of buildings from the back doors then dress up with clean dresses pick up a white flag and try to escape.

You know, if you changed your rules of engagement to "fuck everything up that crosses our border" that's fine.
What I'm saying is that that was >not< the case. Because would it have been an American or another non-shithole plane you wouldn't have shot it down.

It seemed more like showing your balls situation than an actual threat.

>>

Who said it had to be a threat?
okay, look:
>Any plane who tresspasses our borders will be shot
t. Turkey

Then, (or before) Turkey makes a pact with USA or Greece, agreeing that they would allow each other in their airspaces.
So Turkey shoots down the Kazakhstani (be it a threat or not) plane, but does not shoot the Greek one, becase they had agreed that they would not.

Look up what a military IFF transponder is. All American and Turkish planes (and all NATO) are constantly broadcasting encrypted signals to each other that let each other know that they are friendly.

Russia repeatedly violates other countries' airspace by flying military aircraft with their transponder turned off so there is no way of telling who they are or their intentions.

Explain to me once and for all why do Turks hate Kurds so much? You are the same kind of kebab, genociding together during ww1, gay for islam and looking subhuman. I guess Kurds are a bit poorer and speak a different language, but that's about it, it's not their fault that a nation of 30 million was denied having an own country and the biggest chunk of them got stuck inside Turkish borders.

>Explain to me once and for all why do Turks hate Kurds so much?
Turks hate seperatist Kurds. A big chunk of them are islamist and vote for Erdogan.
>I guess Kurds are a bit poorer and speak a different language
They have a different culture which includes prevalency of child marriage, honor killings, FGM etc..
>it's not their fault that a nation of 30 million
They were not 30 million in that time dumbass. They breed like rats. There were like what, 1.5 million kurdsi n 1923 in Turkey? There are 15 million today.
>was denied having an own country and the biggest chunk of them got stuck inside Turkish borders.
Its the Turks who got stuck with them, its just that Turks are too dumb to be educated and fix the problem.
>>
>>60256394
>Its the Turks who got stuck with them, its just that Turks are too dumb to be educated and fix the problem.

I don't understand why Turks deal with the problem instead of saying "OK here's your shitty clay, now get the fuck out"
>>
>>60256613
Governments never care, they use the seperatist movement for their own benefits. An ideal case is giving a small land in the south east and deporting all K*rds. Hell, even some ultra nationalists are starting to like the idea of giving away a bit of land in favor of removing all the K*rds (there are millions of them living in west Turkey having their own ghettos).

Like i said just too dumb, meanwhile they keep reproducing and taking over more and more land. Its the Turks their own fault, they keep going "muh islamic brotherhood" "muh land who we shed blood for", but in a couple decades their own grand children will be getting slaughtered by K*rds. As long as they can feel good about them not giving in its fine. I foresee a situation like the whites in South africa in large areas of Turkey.
>>
>>60256613
If we do then we will need to deport all kurds there and of course we cant do that if any kurd want anything people will chimp out and say him to go kurdistan and this areas has geopolitic importance
>>
>>60256909
If anyone believes the lies of the politicians about ''WE WUZ CONQUERING WITH OUR ANCESTORS' BLOOD AND SHEEEIT'', they're pretty much idiots. It's all about the strategic importance of the area. US has no reason to have an alliance with Turkey. Only the border with Iraq is important. We're already at odds with a lot of NATO countries, some of them our neighbours, and can't afford to alienate the biggest/strongest military in the alliance.

Also the area is necessary for oil. I doubt if the new Kurdish state would allow a pipeline going from Iraq through their border into Turkey. We'd need to look elsewhere.
And it's important for the water resources as well. There are a shit ton of dams in the Euphrates area. Losing those or putting them at the border of an enemy state is a major risk.
>>
>>60257582
Deals could be made with iraq>iran to export oil trough that. The KRG right now is making a deal with Iran to export their oil trough them instead of Turkey. You also have the azeris, Russia, Israel..

I agree with the water part.

That said, no amount of strategic importance is enough to justify what the Turkish people have to deal with.
>>
>>60257752
I don't know about Iran either, they're pretty much pissed at us. Turkish Stream project with Russia is also on hold at the moment. If the state of uncertainty goes long enough, I fear it might even be cancelled. I heard somewhere Russians were making deals with the Bulgarians instead to export oil to Europe under the Black Sea.
Sure, we'll always have the pipeline with Azerbaijan and Georgia but it's just not enough.

Also you have to consider the fact that the area we'd give has some amount of oil in it as well. We just started extracting it but there's a lot more to be found.

There are a lot more reasons as well. Such as the GAP project. Billions have been spent on the region already. Giving it away would be a huge waste.

>That said, no amount of strategic importance is enough to justify what the Turkish people have to deal with.
Yes, I agree. But the international politics sadly doesn't care about that.
>>
>>60241748
What do you think nigger
60% of Dutch Turks voted for him in the last elections
>>
>>60258194
>export oil
Sorry, Turkish Stream is about gas, not oil. Bad example.
And we're trying to get that from Turkmenistan now, to my knowledge.
>>
>>60258194
I understand but most of them are recent problems. I know this will never happen but you can easily fix the problems with Iran if you support assad (that said, i personally dont really like Iran, but whatever). Apologize for the plane thing, i dont think im wrong if i say Putin would want to start being friendly again.

Also, the pipeline with Russia is more in favor for Russia. Its not so important for Turkey, Russia loses more with it if they dont get it.

Billions have been spent on the region but for what? They will ruin it anyway. These niggers think the dams are being built for anti k*rdish regions. They get free electricity, they dont have to pay taxes...

IMO the positives about getting rid of k*rds still outweigh the negatives. Its hilarious how people say they shed blood for the land but dont mind it being more and more encompassed by k*rds every day.
>>
>>60258536
Well, I do support Assad in the conflict and I think the shooting of the plane was a major mistake. However, the current government will never adopt these positions. And I don't like Iran in the region either. I'd prefer if Turkey got closer to Israel instead.

>pipeline with Russia is more in favor of Russia
It would have boosted the Turkish economy by a shit ton. Because Turkey would be the bridge to Europe in terms of gas exports.

About GAP; billions have been spent so the area would become arable. And a side goal would be to raise the economic worth of the area and stop the people from moving to the West. The project still continues. And yes, they will ruin it if they get a hold of it. The new Kurdish state would have nothing when it comes to money. Oil money from Mosul isn't enough to support the entire country.

I'd love to get rid of them as well. But under these economic and political situations, it's simply not possible. I'd advocate killing them all and replacing them with Armenians in the area even. Kurds were the ones in the army forces that slaughtered entire Armenian villages anyway. Armenians would return back home. However, it's entirely possible they'd demand independence in the region as well so there's no clear solution on my perspective.

What you have now is Kurds who keep breeding and taking over more land. They also keep migrating to west turkey. This all when the west and everyone acts like Turks are genociding them. Its all bullshit. The current status quo is far from ideal. Someone needs to stand up in Turkey and fix it. I honestly dont give a shit about the billions spent on the area, its better to cut your losses now. I also dont care about the potential oil there. Oil makes a country lazy anyway. And you are over estimating the boost it would give to the turkish economy, the pipeline.
>>
>>60259079
Wait a minute, did I just hear a confession???

Btw, how much of the areas where kurds live today used to be Armenian populated lands?
>>
>>60260487
I never denied Armenian genocide/massacre/slaughter whatever you wanna call it.

Nearly all of it. Armenians were once majority all the way to Tarsus. But they never had any majority in the Black Sea coasts so the plan for a new state for them after WW1 is flawed.
