but I think others (細いドア, 太い象 and 厚いテーブル) sound odd and not commonly used.
for example. the following words sounds natural
if you want to use "thin" for object,
we should say 細い体, 細い棒, 細い糸 and so on.
conversely if you want to use "thick" for object,
we would say 太い体, 太い棒, 太い糸, and so on.
on other hand, if you want to use "fat" or "thick" for a person or an animal,
you can say 太っている象, 太っている男, 太っている女 and so on.
and if you want to use "thin" for a person or an animal,
you can say 痩せている象, 痩せている男, 痩せている女 and so on.
for your information, 薄い本 is the Internet slang for doujinshi.
