It was only ever a short idea during "Wilhemine" times (late 1800s/early 1900s). Before and after that, it's clear that places like Poland and Czechia had and have always belonged to the Russosphere, because that's where they culturally, genetically, linguistically, cuisine-wise and in terms of mentality, lifestyle... belong to.
