Men are more likely than women to agree to casual sex. As long as only sex is involved, men generally don't have a problem with having sex with someone who is below their league. A 8/10 man will most likely agree to have sex with a 6/10 woman. This is a result of evolution.
Now, consider it from the point of view of the woman. If you, as a 6, can fairly easily have sex with an 8, why would you be satisfied with someone below your league? The top whatever percent of men have a large amount of partners, while the bottom whatever percent has very few if any at all. With women, the distribution of sex partners is a lot more even, because basically none of them have trouble acquiring sex.
This is what happens when there is little stigma attached to casual sex. Whether it is a good thing depends on what group you happen to belong to.
