Because having children and continuing your lineage is seen as the purpose of life in those countries. In first world countries, people tend to prioritise their own enjoyment rather than continuing their bloodline. People here see raising a child as a chore rather than a blessing.

In first world countries, people have shit to do. There's a reason why pretty much 90% of westerners who come here say "there isn't anything to do here tho???"
You know how mice and rabbits have a lot of offspring because any one of them could get picked off by large predators? Same concept. So, in order to balance out the birth rates, we just need to add more large cats.

In third world countries, there's not really much of a difference between having one kid and having five kids. Raising enough money isn't much of an issue, which is why they don't worry about having too many.
In first world countries, it's a lot more expensive to raise an extra child. Even though you earn more money in a first world country, the cost of raising a child takes up a much higher proportion of that, typically because you are obligated to buy all the luxuries that a child would expect.
