>Spain: Juan
>Germany: Hans

>Sweden: Sven
>Russia: Ivan

>>
>>59800235

Juan is the 5th in the male total, but it has become less common than that amongst newborns
>>

>>59800235
Pierre feels a little bit old, buy i know of a few
>>
>>59800235
Ivan's pretty common.
We don't have a dominant name, but a plethora of common, that's one of them, somewhere in top 10 I guess
>>
>>59800235
>>59800375

Hans and Helmut are virtually extinct.
New German names are probably Noah, Jonas etc. or something other. I know a surprising number of Friedrichs however.
>>
>>59800235
What about Australia and Bruce?

Hans is a name for old people. There are acutally a lot of people named Hans in their 50s/60s. Not very common among younger people. I only know one young guy named Hans and it feels kinda goofy.
>>
>>59800235
>Mexico: Pablo
We have more Juan here
>>
My first name is Hans. First generation immigrant, we wuz barons and shiet.
>>
>>59806243
That's too bad. German names are great.
>>
Only one Ivan of my age among my acquaintances, it seems kinda old-fashioned. Everyone is Alexander or Sergey these days
>>
>tfw my name is Pablo
Still not a very popular name, though.
>>
Mehmet is a pretty common name here but it's dying out because people are naming their children retarded shit like Can
>>
>>59800235
Nobody has those names that people push on us here

Common names are Lucas, William, Filip, Jonathan, Marcus, etc
>>
Not Muhammad but Mehmet. Which is basically Turkish version of Muhammad anyway so it's true
>>
>>59806243
>Noah, Jonas
>Jewish names

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP
>>
>>59811966
>>59805981
>>59804920
Retards. Sven was a very popular name to give boys born in the 20's-40's something.

Ite common among old men. The names you listed are common among the very young.
>>
>>59809066
What's wrong with Can?
>>
>>59800235
>Nigel

>>France: Pierre
Quite common, I know 5 or 6 Pierres
>>
>>59815769
What about Jacque?
>>
>>59815898
Jacques isn't very popular anymore, I've only seen old people with this name.
>>
>>59814813
>'Kyle' as stereotypical USA
Seconded.

For NZ I put forth "Ben" seems like a super common name, plus you get to make fun of our accent at the same time. Doesn't have any stereotype connotations tho..
>>
>>59815945
such a shame, Jacques sounds like such a badass name.

Pierre on the other hand, sounds like some fat and short nerds name with those bottlecap glasses and and suspenders.

Fuck pierre, what a fag
>>
>>59816054
Keep in mind Jacques doesn't sound like Jack though.
>>
>>59814721

>>

>>
>>59814813
Or "Kevin"

Hell its 2016 lets go with "zayden"
>>
>>59816116

>>
>>59816168
>http://www.dictionary.com/browse/jacques?s=t
Yes, I just wanted to be sure that you didn't think the J sounded like "dj", as it does in Jack.
>>
>>59816188
>zayden
holy shit yes
>>
>>59816230
Confirmed then

t. Zayden
>>
>>59816168
yes

correct me if I'm wrong, but that "j" sound in Jacques (like the ж/ž in Slavic languages) is also 'j' in Turkish is it not?
>>
Nigel isn't that common. Something like Liam or Oliver would be more accurate.
>>
>>59816272
yes it does.

the reason for that is that we got the letter ''j'' from the french, since most modern turkish has french words in it, it makes the transition easier
>>
>>59816317
''it is''

sorry its late and i am tired.

>>
>>59800235
Literally not one person under the age of 40 named nigel in the whole country
>>
>>59800235
Ireland should definitely be Patrick/paddy
>>
>>59814630
it sounds anime (its pronounced chan)

>tfw your name is berke-chan

must feel bad
>>
>>59816317
Turks got the "j" from the Persians long before they even met the French
>>
>>59800235
>>59800235

>>
>>59816445
paddy is what you call an average irishman
seamus is the stereotypical name
>>
>>59816878

>>59816888

>>
How many fucking times: If you speak to a young German and try to use Hans as a common name you will fail. That name is ancient and you will only make yourself look silly. Use the following:
Andreas
Sven
Thorsten
Anna-Sophie
Finn
Julia
And all the other biblical names
>>
>>59814813
>>59816188
>>59816230
>>59816262
>>59816819

It's Hank. Hank is the meme American name.
>>
>>59806255
Never known anyone called Bruce. Or Jim.
>>
>>59801348
My father often has an Italian over at work, where I work too in the summers, from a client company. His name is Mario and he even talks like the video game character.

>Hello, I'm-a di Mario, I 'av-e come to-e evalua-te di qualiti of di paper

And then everyone has to hold their laughs. Which is sad because he seems like an actual nice guy
>>
>>59816188
Kevin is a low class name here. It goes hand in hand with David (pronounced the English way) and Chantal. We even have Justin here.
>>
>Portugal: Joaquim
>Brasil: João
>>
>>59800235
for spain is more like manolo, paco or aitor
>>
>>59816809
>Shitpostistan
I read it as Sebastian and almost shit my pants
>>
>>59817107
This desu
Always thought it was funny how American first names are seen as lower class. I suppose it was a knee-jerk reaction of Protest by former commies (Eastern Germans) towards Russia.
>>
>>59801348
So what's used now puglio?
>>
>>59800235
I do not know a single Nigel in real life.
>>
>>59800235
I've never personally known a Mario who had less than 50 years. The most common name is probably Andrea or Alessandro
>>
>>59816986
>Finn
>>
>Israel: Schlomo

Super old name and is used mostly as a joke.
I've heard of a person called Schlomo Schlomo though. But from many many years ago.
>>
>>59800235
>Germany: Hans
>not Muhammad
wtf?
