It's the same situation as Dilma really, her education minister, and one of the closest minister to her, was recorded trying to persuade a worker's party senator not to do plea bargain for car wash operation and she never fired him.
But at the same time if Temer does the same it will help bringing him down as it was one of the reasons why everyone supported the impeachment and no one likes Temer that much from start.
