Mandatory text:

The Destruction of Sennacherib
By Lord Byron (George Gordon)

The Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold,
And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold;
And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea,
When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee.

Like the leaves of the forest when Summer is green,
That host with their banners at sunset were seen:
Like the leaves of the forest when Autumn hath blown,
That host on the morrow lay withered and strown.

For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed;
And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!

And there lay the steed with his nostril all wide,
But through it there rolled not the breath of his pride;
And the foam of his gasping lay white on the turf,
And cold as the spray of the rock-beating surf.

And there lay the rider distorted and pale,
With the dew on his brow, and the rust on his mail:
And the tents were all silent, the banners alone,
The lances unlifted, the trumpet unblown.

And the widows of Ashur are loud in their wail,
And the idols are broke in the temple of Baal;
And the might of the Gentile, unsmote by the sword,
Hath melted like snow in the glance of the Lord!

Fuck my German "r"
>>
>>56399344
That was pretty good tbqh Vlad, but yeah your r is off and you are a bit heavy on the accent. Overall I'd say a 7/10
>>
>>56398426
I extremely love the way german is written. Would love to be able to speak it so much.
>>
Each must find their own way. If those in our heartland had witnessed the savageries of the void as have we they would know this. The hand of each of the starfarers is turned against the other; none will join their strength together just to see their ancient enemies prosper. Neither should we.

Theres some reading for you pooplords!
>>
>>56399478
Been trying to fix it for a year or so, but still no results, unfortunately :c
Sometimes it seems to me that I should be using the "r" like I've just recorded, because it doesn't sound so harsh, at least to me.

Some old spanish coming through

Sobre Baza estaba el rey,
lunes, después de yantar;
Miraba las ricas tiendas
que estaban en su real;
miraba las huertas grandes
y miraba el arrabal;
miraba el adarve fuerte
que tenía la ciudad;
miraba las torres espesas,
que no las puede contar.
Un moro tras una almena
comenzóle de hablar:
-Vete, el rey don Fernando,
non querrás aquí envernar,
que los fríos de esta tierra
no los podrás comportar.
Pan tenemos por diez años,
mil vacas para salar;
veinte mil moros hay dentro,
todos de armas tomar,
ochocientos de caballo
para el escaramuzar;
siete caudillos tenemos,
tan buenos como Roldán,
y juramento tienen hecho
antes morir que se dar.

>>56398426
I'll record that later, but first I'd like to know some things if you may answer me:

How do I know when the ö is oe or oo? And the g is ch, k, or g itself? Like in König I know you say it Koonich, but why?

Fuck this seriously.
>>
>>56399573
http://vocaroo.com/i/s16J9X6SEAib
>>
>>56399750
That was better. The r in "ihr" was perfect, the ones before were still a little too harsh.

>>56399857
I can't think of any words where ö is pronounced as oo. And g is always g, using ch or k is only for subhumans speaking in dialect tbqh. I'll record how you say König in a minute
>>
>>56400016
how to pick up a german bitch anally being a hohol?
>>
>>56399857
I think "g" is read like "ch" mostly in cases when the word is an adjective or when it end with "-ig"

>>56400016
Welp, looks like I gotta choose which "r" to use by just comparing which one sounds better in this or that word.

>>56400226
Just always do it as softly as you can, german isn't really a harsh language and we don't sound like we're constantly angry, that's a meme.
>>
>>56400300
> we don't sound like we're constantly angry, that's a meme
I know right, Kamerad. But it's just memed so extremely hard here, in Russia. Pretty much everyone I know say call it a "dog lanuage" because they listened to a few Rammstein songs (especially "Du hast") and now they think that every single German speaker sounds like Lindemann. It's just so annoying and makes me cringe a lot, tвh.
>>
>>56400456
Du Hast is extremely overrated.

But Lindeman is fucking amazing.

Do mostly leftists listen to that in Germany? Because here people listening to them are nearly considered to be antisocial psychopathic nazis or fascists, heh

This is really good, you sound like a native American with a slight slavic accent, which is extremely common and so you'd fit right in.

What I immediately noticed that is really common, is "apologize" has a really strong sounding 'o'.

rather than: a-poll-agize

try: a-pall-agize

Also, you do a sort of French-like delineation between words. Particularly, "want you" sounds like:

want-tchew. Kind of like how you would pronounce "tu" in french. Make this more staccato, as in:

want (break) you.

Hope this helps!

Sounds great, lad!

Pyörimismäärä on analoginen suoraviivaisen liikkeen liikemäärälle. Pyöriminen on kaksiulotteista iikettä. Yleensä sitä kuvataan vektorilla.
Ruuvien ja muttereiden kiristysmomentit ilmoitetaan SI-järjestelmää käytettäessä newtonmetreinä. Aikaisemmin käytettiin usein kilopondimetriä. Anglosaksisia mittajärjestelmiä käyttävässä maailmassa kiristysmomentti ilmoitetaan tuumanauloina tai jalkanauloina. Kiristys tiettyyn momenttiin hallitaan momenttiavaimella.

You know Rammstein can be very auto ironical at times. Links was written expressively because someone criticized them of being nazi.
While with Mutter for example (and I guess we can count in Praise Abort by Lindemann himself) they take for example a more conservative stance.
They very often try to send a message with their texts and sometimes are very controversial while doing that, but I wouldn't call them a leftist band because of that.
Keep in mind that the guys lived under the DDR so they know what it's like to actually live in very leftist environment.

>Define night, because we've got big difference in timezones and I'd actually like to join if I'm able and allowed to.

For sure man. Normally we play on Friday and Saturday, maybe 13:00 to like 23:00 GMT+0. Playing during the weekdays seems to be more tricky since I dunno when people are available, and it's 1,000 times more fun with 3 or more people.

>>56417003
>You should have said that earlier, I'm going to bed in like 15 minutes.

Aye, we should figure out what time a few of us could play during the week. I get off work around 10:00 GMT+0 and stay up time about 16:00.
>>
>>56417725
I'd be available tomorrow, it'd just have to be a little earlier than right now, maybe an hour or so.
>>
>>56417725
So, if it's from 13:00 to 23:00 GMT+0, then for GMT+3 it's from 16:00 to 2:00, right? Asking because timezones have always been confusing me for some reason :c
If yes, then it'll a perfect time for me on Friday and, maybe, Saturday as well.

>>56417512
I wish the majority of Russians was kind, because I actually see a lot of negativity almost everyday in my shithole. But I'm still happy to see kind Russians because to me they to be the best people in the world, probably, because you can talk about anything with them and they will always cheer you up, even by just saying something stupid.

you definitely don't sound irish, but your accent isnt strong enough for me to know where you're from
-the i in still is a bit too long
-the end of gentile is like "teil", no e at the end
-the end in autumn is just an m sound, no n (could've been a mistake, you paused a bit)
-the vowel in Breathed is like an "ee" in teeth or meat, not like in breath
-vowel in brow is like an a, so bra-w
-your second t in distorted sound to much like like a d
>>
>>56422262
that scandi really was shitty, sounded more like an old guy with a light scottish accent (except for the first part)

For german i guess you can have a go and let people correct you, it's probably got a more consistent system than English so it shouldnt be hard to learn
>>
>>56423024
Yeah I agree.
Like I said, it was a shitty one.
I can't do scandi accents well and I can't do australian/kiwi accents.
Everything else I am passable at (excluding natives).
Southern (american) accent is an exception as I can do that 100% passably.
