I guess kenjutsu is a better example, then. Kendo and Kenjutsu operate on different sparring principles. The only reason they charge each other in kendo is that they don't score single hits.

I don't think you understand what I meant by the kendo comparison. Kendo, which is derived from kenjutsu, is remarkably similar to HEMA longsword styles derived from medieval military treatises. What is inherently autistic about the western style that doesn't reflect in the Asian style?
