Actually, its not entirely true, Titus pullo ended up fighting on the other side, against caesar, led a defense and ended up dying at a fortress in sicily, Though the first episode where the main characters had a run in, had some truth, in fact, Titus pullo was a fellow officer and not a regular, they were both centurions and were competitive with one another as close friends were. They were both mentioned in Julius Caesar's records of his campaign where he personally mentions their rivalry
