If Scotland is allowed, England probably should be. Scotland is pretty Anglo - language, culture and history. Its only considered Celtic because of Scots from Ireland conquering the country in the middle ages, but it wasn't a population replacement any more than Angles replacing Brythonics. in England and Southern Scotland.

Seem to e the "Celtic" this is dressed up a bit in Scotland to promote nationalism and a separate identity form England, but with the exception of the west highlands I really don't think that's true.

Scots are Gaels, Scotland was a Gaelic-speaking Kingdom for most of its existence. Revisionism isn't going to change that. Good day.

Kilts, bagpipes, Gaelic = west highlands. Not a part of the east or south of Scotland until Victorian romanticism made it a part of national identity.

The rest of Scotland is the populated part and speaks Scots (Ingles), wears trousers and a lot of it was part of the kingdom of Northumbria...

Ok well you're wrong. The parts that didn't speak Gaelic were tiny, most of it did.

Yes but Scotland originally was just the west highlands. The are a that still speak Gaelic today.

Irish immigrants basicly.

Picrs were separate in the east until Scots defeated them. Strathclyde was not a part of Scotland and was Brithonic and Lothians were part of Northumbria. Fife and Galloway were also separate kingdoms for a long time.

Scots conquered them all, but it doesn't make the whole population Gaels.

That's the height of Gaelic expansion though friend.

No, but Gaelic culture subsumed them. There's people whose family might have been Normans or Vikings here, but they're still as "Gaelic" as I am. It's not just blood, it's culture.

And that position lasted for a few quite centuries until James decided he preferred speaking English (his grandfather and previous Kings spoke Gaelic iirc).

The nobility descended from Scots so obviously that had a huge impact until French became popular in the courts 13th century. Yes the population was Gaelisised. But really they were mostly Brythonic in origin in the populated central belt.

My point is that so was all of England (Brithonic) before the Angles and Saxons came. There is no genetic evidence to say they were pushed out or bred out. So English people really are just culturally Anglo... just as Scots were for a short time culturally Gaels. But both are most Brithonic which is Celtic.
