Well guess what, overeating is always a personal problem. But if you insist that for overeating to ever be more than just a personal problem and become considered a societal problem that everyone has to have the problem, that's just silly. Nah, it wouldn't be rational at all. Like I said before. Statistics shouldn't be used to discredit bits of information that in any case are a part of making the statistic. Statistics don't disprove outliers/anomolies.
Outliers/anomolies are just bits of data just like any other that go into making statistics.

He never posted anything totally disproving the notion that Japan has a difficult work culture on families, a notion which even the Japanese government believes on some level.

There still doesn't seem to me to be a reason to say she is making a statement about Japanese culture. No, but if you're going to disprove someone, you say nope look these swans are white. He said nope look there are blacker swans out there. He was trying to disprove her, for sure. But what I've been saying is he didn't do a good job at it by first admitting that she is right, and second, by using statistics that at best prove nothing. Because again, statistics aren't the kinds of things that discredit a bit of data.
