Several times in Egypt's history their territory extended far enough South to have a black minority. Even today, Egypt has a black minority. One of them was president of Egypt not that long ago. Nasser even said that Sudanese and Egyptians were the same people and should be one country. Everything I said is established fact and has been for a long time. Modern Egypt's borders where defined during colonialism so there are black people from southern Egypt. Most Egyptians are brown and always have been.

Honestly, I just don't understand the obsession with Egypt for many Black Americans. Actually, psychologically, I can take a good guess but if they truly wanted to find importance in their identity because 'Whitey' told them otherwise, there are many ancient kingdoms and civilizations outside of North Africa that have been academically documented and such. West Africa (where most of their ancestors were taken, anyway) had some pretty cool stuff.
Then again, I suppose it's similar to how a lot of white Americans romanticize Ancient Rome, despite having little to no relevance to them - I don't hear a lot from this group, though.

My bad, but desu the Egyptians the we wuz types talk about were the 4th dynasty, which was ~1,500 years before Ramses III's time. I don't know enough about Egypt's history to be sure but from what I've heard the dynasties were all pretty different genetically and even a bit culturally.

Anyway, Egypt was ruled by many many many different people over the course of something crazy like 3 FULL millenia. Some of the ruling families were black. The proof is there in any form you could possibly want. Including skulls and DNA. They weren't the majority by a god's longshot but they did exist - and it's important not to downplay this fact.
