When I studied in the UK for an exchange I stayed with a British family. They were nice but obese and had at least 20 boxes of these Jaffa Cakes insde their food cupboard at all times. I tried to have some but they wouldn't let me because 'you are Swiss, and should only eat top of the range chocolate'.
Fuck I was so hungry for the, they looked so good. I remember the dad in the family used to wrap the Jaffa Cakes inside an orange peel (he made me eat the orange because he didn't like fruit) then he would 'unpeel' it and pretend he was eating fruit. the mothers favorite snack was a Jaffa cake sandwiches between two KFC chicken boneless breasts which she called 'orange chicken'. They also made 'fresh fruit juice' by blending the orange cream from inside the cakes with some sugary plain water. I never got to try one, even when I went downstairs to take them to cupboard was locked.
