Way too poor, and also their government seems to be rational and they have not acted as a threat. They BTFO'd Portugal once, but Portugal deserved it and nobody really cares about them. The US, with it's ever-incompetent foreign policy pushed India towards the Soviet Union in the Cold War, but India and Russia combined are still not a threat. And India will get closer to the West in coming decades.
